Don't you just love when someone uses your name to get something they want done - without telling you they're going to do it? I just got back to work after vacation and sickness to find an email in my inbox from 5/30 stating "Maegan is affected by (insert what she wants taken care of here)". I'm telling you, it's not that big of a deal but it made me want to walk down to the parking garage, get in my car and go right back home!
There's something about getting back to routine that makes me want to rethink my entire existence. I'm sure I am not alone here.
What am I doing? Am I happy? Who's life is this? Am I just working to make money to buy more things I don't need? Does it make a difference?
I remember thinking (on more than one occasion, probably after the above thoughts raced through my mind) that a job is a job and that no matter what job I have, I will soon hate it. And then I think, well, as far as jobs go, I am pretty lucky. And I am. And I will, most likely, resume this thinking. But then what?

Oh my gosh, my husband and I have been going round and round about this same thing. He's at a crossroads with his job and feels like he's wasting his life there. I'm like, "you're supporting a family. We need your benefits. It's too risky to switch now. Suck it up." Because it's true. Even if you started working with something you love...eventually you'll grow to not love it so much. I think there are very few people who actually love what they do everyday.
