I've ALWAYS wanted to learn how to play the piano. When I was in my early teens, we somehow managed to get an organ for free and I taught myself a bunch of songs by ear. But I could never use both hands or read music very well.
We have a neighbor who teaches piano {which echos through our windows and is lovely, especially when it covers up the annoying SCREECHING bird in unit 6} and I thought PERFECT! I don't really have to go anywhere but next door to learn! So I saw her in the courtyard recently {well, like 3 months ago now} and asked her if she had any openings in her schedule for lessons. She asked me if I had a piano and I said no and then asked me a bunch of other questions, talked about a recital her students are a part of and then gave me her email address. Confused, I walked into my house and shut the door thinking: Wait a minute, wasn't my question suffice enough for her to say either yes I have room for you or no I'm sorry but maybe at a later date? Why would I have to email her to ask her the same exact question?
I was so befuddled by the entire encounter that I never emailed her and resolved that she was weird {I hope she never sees this:)} ...and then I continued the thought and realized if she had offered lessons, in the future I'd feel obligated to talk to her and go to her recitals and become a part of her life instead of just saying a quick "hi, how are ya" when I pass by. And all I wanted was to learn to play the piano! A good decision in the end.
So, I told my husband that when we buy our house, we're getting a piano, and I'll take lessons then ...with an instructor that comes to our house :)
All that said, below is a remake of the Nancy Sinatra song "Bang Bang" by a new artist Niia and it is amazing. I love it!

This is fantastic! First - I love this song! Secondly, she is amazing. I love her voice and her take on the song. LOVE iT! Great find!
omg! love the song!
it's MAYgen ... same as yours! Yay for K's! My 'K' is for Kate. I met a Megan Kathleen on here as well. The M and the K sounds so regal together.
Oh wow, what a beautiful song! I'm craving new music today, so happy to stumble upon this!
I never could get myself to stick to learning an instrument. I've always wanted to learn piano, but a guitar was a much cheaper option for me. I still can't play a dang thing after two months, but then again, I'm self taught...
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I sooo want to learn to play the piano too!! I've always wanted to and you have motivated me!
The piano is lovely and her voice is so so great....
I always wanted to play guitar ... my wife got me one for Christmas a few years ago, and I've been self-teaching myself ... very, very slowly.
I have also wanted to learn how to play the piano but my ADD or alleged ADD prevents me from fully practicing. Bummer.
That piano story is funny, good luck in the future with it!
