Billy Ocean was the first concert I ever went to. I was eleven {wait, maybe I was 8} and in Oregon with my family visiting my Uncle Bob {I mean, who doesn't have an Uncle Bob?} and we went to some fair and Billy Ocean just so happen to be performing.
My uncle carried me on his shoulders so I could see ...so I must have been 8 or younger because Uncle Bob is not a very tall man and I would have squished him if I were eleven.
I heard Caribbean Queen while flipping stations in the car this morning and you'd think I would have changed the station - but no. Not only did I leave it there, I TURNED IT UP! And proceeded to sing it out! And then I realized that I didn't really know the words to the song. But I sang it anyway. And then I couldn't stop laughing. And if I'm laughing while stuck in traffic @ 8:42am, I know it's gonna be a great day.

haha great :p well happy friday too!
i miss the 80's maybe cause we didn't have bills, we didnt have to work. I would have been singing too!
I have an Uncle Bob and I love Carribean Queen!
This song, at the time, seemed kind of exotic---kind of like a song you would hear on vacation. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Have a great weekend!
I have an Uncle Bob! lol.
Seriously, that song ROCKS. I would have turned it up too.
I do not have an Uncle Bob. In this case, "Uncle Bob" is actually "Father Bob." Lol.
i just joined the 350 challange thanks to that banner on the left--thanks!
