Happy Halloween!

Suffice to say I only posted about 5 of my top Halloween costumes instead of the ten I originally promised, but I think you saw the best of the best. So, this Halloween post will be more about other spooky and arty things.

I've found that I tend to have a liking of moderately dark art. Or, art that looks relatively cute from far away and the closer you get the clearer the truth of the work becomes {à la Mark Ryden}. That said, I found these photographs from artist Eduardo Diaz in February and have been in love ever since. However, I can no longer find his web site to link to but Halloween seems an appropriate day to show them.

I'm also quite fond of the following two works by artist Michael Hussar ...and mostly only the two below ...not so much all of what's on his site.

Tonight, my husband and I are going to stay in with our friends Alison and Chad and scare ourselves silly watching Ghost Hunters where the TAPS team does a live investigation of Fort Delaware ...for 7 hours straight! I'm really excited to just relax this evening with some possible substance {ab}use :) and hang with the husband and our friends.

I hope you all have a super fun and safe Halloween with your kids and/or friends and I can't wait to see and hear all about it on Monday!

Oh, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

I love those photos, too. We have this love for "dark" photos and artwork in common.
