Completely Gratuitous Outfit Post

{small images via iMac photo booth}

It's crazy to me that in the sunlight, my roots totally don't bother me but under the harsh lights and the imac photo booth, they are so much darker. horrendous!

What I'm Wearing

Dress: No Tag ...got it at a thrift shop a couple weeks ago
Belt: Vintage ...seen here
Necklaces: Vintage chain with short vintage necklace attached ...both grandma's ...seen here
Handbag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Sunglasses: Tom Ford {Yvette}
Booties: Steve Madden ...I almost slipped and fell walking to my car this morning then realized these are the shoes I was wearing when I ate it in Macy's in December. I blamed water on the floor but I'm thinkin' it is just these heels ...which means I need to SLOW DOWN.

AND A LITTLE TV GOSSIP
Okay, Audrina was looking FIERCE last night on The Hills in her {what looked like} Balmain studded heels ...Damn she looked great! And Justin just couldn't let her go. .. I loved it! I loved that she was like no, peace, I'm out! FINALLY.

And seriously, could the Pratt family be any dumber? I mean Stephanie, COME ON! Who acts like that? I really thought she was on drugs watching her.

..NOW, ONTO Gossip Girl. I mean REALLY? REALLY, a show based in New York is going to bag on The Valley? Really? The show was even titled "Valley Girls" and really, I don't see what it had to do with Valley Girls considering the father, appropriately played by Andrew McCarthy, was living in Malibu ...which wasn't actually Malibu ...it was Santa Monica where my bro and sil were married ...and where did the mom live? Santa Barbara? I'm not even sure really. Gossip Girl, I love you but last night's episode was LAME and it's not just because I'm a Valley Girl that I mind -GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!- ...although I love what Chuck did for Blair to give her her dream prom, I wanted to see more of her dress ...why didn't they show it? Serena's dress was pretty but too much fabric under her boobs which made them look saggy. Not cool.

..and LAST BUT NOT LEAST I think my new favorite trashy show may just be Charm School w/ Ricki Lake. One because I loved Ashley from Rock of Love Bus and two because what is more fun than watching a bunch of crazy bitches air all their shit on television? I just want to thank Ben Samek {whom I went to high school with and was always seated behind because alphabetically, his is SA and mine was SH}, executive producer of all these hot mess shows on Vh1, for giving me another way to waste my time. Who knew?

GREAT outfit! I totally agree with you on both The Hills and Gossip Girl...I felt GG was way too choppy with the flash backs and Stephanie and Spencer need to go on a permanent "lunch break" where we don't have to see them anymore!

do you read NY Magazine Daily Intel? You totally should...I post it to my FB every Tuesday. You'd lurve it. One of the things (of the many) that they said was "we don't speak LA but we're pretty sure telling someone to back to the "Valley" is a capital offense." lol-I just think it's so funny and mean and absurd...but then, the whole show is and I love love love it for that. On the Daily Intel they talk about what's real and what's fake and this week was a doozy. I'm sorry but no NYC cop would let some girl just hang out in the precinct once the charges are dropped and btw, I doubt that any NYC precinct looks like that on the inside. Maybe there are some fancy ones on the UES but downtown, where I live, one block away from one it just looks like any regular old building in Manhattan.

btw, you look so fierce in that dress, blouse...it looks amazing on you. This is one of the many things that I admire about your fashion sense...I would never think to pick that up bc I wouldn't know what to do with it. It looks so amazing on you. You are so unique and your style rocks!

I know! I almost shat a brick when I saw those Balmain sparkler's on Audrina's feet. Unfortunately, her breast implants look ridiculous though. I think they keep getting bigger and bigger...

I love gg believe me I am a real fanatic...however, I have struggled this season to stay interested when they go over the deep end with serena in jail and the whole awkward mess that was Mon night's episode...it was hard to watch for so many reasons...the whole brittany snow 80s fashion show felt so out of place & I was wondering when if ever they would return to park avenue...I still love chuck and Blair and am waiting patiently for her to get back with him...even if for a few mins!

Leigh said...

you are gorgeoussss, that dress looks lovely on you. also, i like these kinds of roots. it only looks awful if your natural hair is lighter or you've dyed it red or something.

love the shoes :)

1. Love this dress. This outfit is divine!!!

2. I'm totally with you on Charm School. So trashy, but sooooo good! I watched Real Housewives of NJ last night. Also real trash, but real good!

Have a lovely day!

Are the soles of those booties really smooth? If they are, I totally suggest those sticky anti-slip pads you can adhere to the bottoms of your shoes. After one too many face-plants, I now stick them to the bottoms of ALL my heels (I'm in icy Montreal, so they're sort of a required part of my shoe wardrobe).

I am endlessly tortured by the sight of my roots in photos, but they never really bother me when I look in the mirror. I wish I didn't need to be blonde, but I am so MOUSY that going natural isn't really an option.

Your outfit is lovely, as always, and you are gorgeous, as always.

that dress is fab...what a great find!

I totally wasn't feeling GG either....it was forced and awkward and while I will most like watch the spinoff, it wasn't the time for the premier episode.
