My mom was crowned Miss North Hollywood in 1974-75 and made it to the top ten in Miss California as well. She wasn't necessarily a pageant girl but said her friends pushed her to go for it and by chance she won. She didn't pursue any other pageants and soon after {if not prior} met my dad, got married and had me by the time she was 22 in June of 1976.
While I'm pretty sure she knew she would have children and that she is extremely happy she did {thanks mom!} I often wonder if she hadn't had my brother and I would her life have turned out any differently?
*I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday ...we did :)

Your mom was (Im sure still is lol) beautiful! My mom had me at 19. I often wonder how things would have been different for her to if she wouldnt have had me so young. Maybe would have finished college and not have had to struggle so much...
That's so sweet! Being a southern girl, I think pageants are part of our DNA, not the creepy baby kind, but this is fabu!
