Completely Gratuitous Outfit Post

bohemian-top-jeans-shell-necklace

bohemian-top-jeans-shell-necklace-1
...um, is it just me or do I look like I have a "bulge" in my pants?!?!?!? lololol!

What I'm Wearing
* Bohemian blouse ...alloy.com ...I don't see it on the site though. It's actually got long sleeves with elastic at the bottom so I folded them up and pouffed the top out a little. Also, I'm pretty sure my days of wearing clothes from the "juniors" section is over. I must admit that I love this top ..{also, it was $14.99} but I had to let out the stitches in the front down to the ruffle detail. 1. it was pulling across my chest and did not look good and 2. it shouldn't have been sewn up as high as it was. It looked lame. Like a v-neck that's too short. uh uh.

* Old black tank top under
* Seven for all Mankind jeans ...these jeans are ancient but I still love the cut and fit ...seen here with shoes
* Pour la Victoir nude platform pumps
* Vintage gold chain/shell necklace ...seen here
* Gold danglies from the Farmer's Market
* Marc by Marc Jacobs bag
* Tom Ford "Yvette" gold sunnies

* Hair ...if you follow me on twitter you'd know that yesterday I spent some time at my mom's pool with Morgan {my brother's baby mama} and lucky for me {and my hair} there is a lemon tree in my mom's back yard. I slathered it all over my roots {for the 3rd time now} and laid out in the sun and it really REALLY makes a difference I think {I wasn't in the pool too long but I think the chlorine lightens it a bit too -although it used to turn it majorly green when I was a kid}. It just lightens/highlights it enough to blend with the chemical highlights and possibly give me another month or so before I have to go to the salon and get it done. I'm so lazy when it comes to maintenance. {also note that I've been using lemon to lighten my hair in the summers since forever ...which I'm sure my mom taught me :)}

I have to say {which means I probably shouldn't}, I wasn't feelin' it this morning. I'm really tired today and just thinking about the effort that goes into outfit posting was making me want to just say forget it all together. I think about once a week a get a bad case of the "shames" or a "shame attack" and wonder what the hell I am doing and feel the urge to pull the plug on the whole thing ...this blog I mean. But some strange and perhaps rational {if that makes sense} voice tells me to keep doing it. But I'm tired today. I wish there was a steady balance of confidence in life instead of a crazy roller coaster ride but I guess that would get boring too ...i think my outfits reflect my mood.

*Since today is the last day of June, I'll be choosing {at random} a monthly follower to win a beSmart beGreen eco tote bag later tonight. Twitter followers included as well as google/blogger followers. Check back later tonight ...it could be you :)

First of all...love the top. And is that a bulge, or are you just happy to see me? ;-)

I totally get the shame's too when it comes to my blog, and once a week think of shutting it down. Why is that???

Why pull the plug? you should be doing it to enlighten us girls on cool clothing you find etc etc. Nevermind the diy items you do!!!

I've only just found your blog so keep going hehe

Also love the jeans, love the hair and I didn't think that lemon slathering really worked i.e. myth. I shall have to try it!

If you pulled the plug who would inspire me to get out of my pajamas and shower? Everytime you post an outfit I say to myself, "If she can look that together and stunning the least I can do is slip on my flipflops"!

You better not stop blogging! Or posting your outfits! If it weren't for you I would have NO fashion sense, whatsoever. As it is I have very little fashion sense, but anything I do implement is straight from you. And I am only one of your nearly 1000 followers, so you know you are inspiring to so many.

If you need to take a bloggy break then do it. But don't stop forever!

those shoes are crazy-cool! at first i thought they were prada, which did some similar designs recently. anyway, they are so cute!

i used to use lemon juice on my hair too. it's very subtle but works and really brings out the shine.

I recognized that top immediately, as I am mad about Alloy. Anyway, it would never look that good on me, and you were right to tailor it. Your choice of shoes couldn't be more perfect.
I seriously need to go through my wardrobe and see what needs adjusting.

Your bohemian blouse from alloy - I have the same blouse! A friend gave it to me (she wears things once then passes them along, the generous girl). I cannot rock the outfit as well as you do however...

Thanks for the lemon juice tip! Did it this weekend with a few drops of EVOO so it wouldn't be so drying. :)
