What I'm Wearing
* Victoria's Secret khaki pants -cuffed. ...seen here. I wanted these to be a bit big so I sized up ...but really, I think they were cut to be loose already so sizing up just is a bit overkill. I don't mind them this big really because they are ridiculously comfortable but if I knew they were going to be this big I would have opted for no pleats. But still, the comfort factor is winning today. {ugh, and now that I'm searching VS for a link to these pants, I've just realized how many other cute pant styles they have right now and now I want to have them} ...and after all that, I think the pants are sold out.
* Victoria's Secret sheer tank ...seen here ...and unbelievably more transparent than I thought ...even now.
* Black and ivory polka-dot dress ..Nordstrom.com ...{old} seen here ...and still reminds me of Dolce & Gabana's Spring 2009 pajama looks
* Boutique 9 Lace-up Platform Pump ...last seen here and here
* Vintage pearl drop earrings ..grandma's
* Tiffany's silver lock necklace & charm braceles
* Gucci chain with charm necklace wrapped around wrist
* Ivory Pashmina scarf
* Socks are actually thigh-highs {nylon/tights texture} that I've folded over

* Hair : Full frontal French Braid on one side - Tutorial Here ...then a regular French braid on the opposite side going back {second shot -pseudo tutorial Here}. I braided each of these sections down to the ends and tied with an elastic. Then actually knotted the braids together and pinned down with bobby pins. {the second shot looks kind of flat but I think it's the angle}

Maegan, oh my goshh...I am in love with your hair and how you style it! I wish you could come do my hair for me. I love what you did with the braids. that polka dot dress looks amazing too. I am liking the slouchy pants look lately! You look amazing as usual!

I can't wait until my hair is longer and I can pull this off...the hair is fab!!
What a sweet outfit! Retro and modern at the same time... I'm in love.
your hair, dress, everything is beautiful, but I think wearing socks is not a good idea. sorry:)
I love it, except for the socks; it makes the outfit look less posh and more child... Think you could work in black tights if you were really cold though?
Love the pants! Great look girlx
you look so great!!! Your hair beautyful! and the outfit!! just great!
your hair, lips, and dress: cute!
undershirt, pants, shoes, socks: WTF
you can be much more pretty and flattering
This outfit makes you look domesticated to me for some reason. I like it!
You're making me wish I still had my long locks ... those braids are darling.

you can def make any outfit look good!
How funny! Before I scrolled down I thought, "O that dress is most definitely Dolce and Gabbana." So you tricked me!

Hi Maegan,
I've been watching your blog for a while, but never got the chance to really comment!
I have to say that I am absolutely fascinated by your personality, your original style, never boring, always making place for better:)
I finally made time to post a comment cause this look is too beautiful!
The styling, the make up and your hair are so glamorous!
Have a blast this weekend!
Love,
Gia!
when this first popped up on my reader i definitely thought the dress was dolce. nice find!
the outfit is great but the hair is amazing.
i have long hair and could certainly try this.
except when i do any kind of braid, idiot people comment, 'you must be mexican, that's why you have braids' ugh.
Hmmm, slightly retro.....an interesting design study, but not really my cup of tea....
Love your hair, it's so classy!
your hair looks so pretty today!
I actually love the socks...so cute!
I have a dress that looks exactly like that and have never thought to wear it open, so doing this thanks!
I love your creativity and confidence. I've tried many looks with socks on, but I'll never gave the guts to leave my bedroom with the looks. I'm just too shy. I love that outfit, yes the shirt is sheer, but who cares, it's just skin for crying out loud.
Have a good day.
i love the socks!! call me crazy but i think they make the outfit ;)
dude! you are getting some oddball comments! sock haters must be out and about today! aha hh a ha ha
anon commenters are WEENIES!
anywhooooo, my favorite part is the LIPSTICK, which looks amazing on you, and the HAIR!
and you can rock the socks so all the anon fuckers can fuck off.
DUDE! Ditto to drollgirl's comment!

Come over and fix mine! ;)
Maegan!! I'm so sorry, please take the comment for the good side, I like the look, except for the socks :( maybe in black looks better!
I love the socks trend, but not in this case, I think white is a improvable point on the outfit.
Kisses!!!!
oh maeg, this is my favorite CGOP i've seen (that i can recall right now anyway haha)! it is sooo adorable and retro and simply lovely. i adore every part of the outfit and your hair is divine!
p.s. I LOVE THE SOCKS!!! they make the outfit IMHO. i would never be able to pull that off. and i love how you constantly push the envelope and do your own thing.
Love you and your style... I would defn wear this look minus the socks.
it's funny, it seems like after you posted the thing on twitter about anonymous comments about the socks, MORE people left them anonymously!
I love the look, as usual. You're such a doll! And the red lips are FAB!
Aaaaahaha!! Drollgirl makes me laugh! I adore your fearless intention. Brilliant outfit. Reminiscent of a young Lucille Ball. She was so hot!
OMG, you look like you stepped right out of The Great Gatsby, I'm completely jealous.
your hair is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. grrrr sometimes i get a bit jealous of your insane talent and finesse. i want my hair to look like that!
Hi Maegan!
I think you look fabulous. While I don't know that I would rock the socks, I think it's awesome and fun that you did. Why not do something that's a little controversial? :)
like a 1930-40s actress rolling onto the set looking glamorous.
Oh it's so funny. Some of you TOTALLY got the look ...but most didn't.
Last Anon: YES!
Diane: EXACTLY!
Nicole: I think so too ;)
But a little controversy is always fun!
Also what's funny? I bought this dress before the D&G show.
love your hair in these pics!
Oh my, I'm in love with your hair! It's so sweet and pretty, I don't think I could ever do that with my hair!
