This outfit, to me, feels very much like fall and Thanksgiving. Although I wore it Wednesday on a last minute day at work, I actually wore the dress and sweater with jeans yesterday for Thanksgiving dinner because I just wanted to be casual and comfy ...and something about the florals and all the layers just reminds me of turkey. The only bit of sunlight on the way home Wednesday afternoon was on the mountain top again {Benedict Canyon} ...which I just love so much. The way the sun hits and the lighting is so dreamy. However, whilst standing on the cliff, I lost my balance a little and realized just how far I would tumble down the mountain if I did, indeed fall. And I have to say, that freaked me out a little, er, a lot. lol. I hope you all had a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving yesterday ...I did. But most of my photos of the day were of my little niece, Delilah ...in fact, other than my outfit posts shots, Delilah seems to be where the focus of the camera goes ever single time. So here's a little shot for you in her daddy's arms {she's also wearing a little baby long sleeve gown from American Apparel ;) ...I'm going to visit her now.

I wore a floral dress with leggings on Tuesday for the very same reason... the more muted versions seem very autumn.

And yes... you have a precious niece!

Your niece is just beautiful! Her little lips are so sweet.

Great outfit! I'd love to know how you tied your scarf. I'm always looking for new ways to tie them but can never seem to come up with anything exciting.

Delilah is adorable. And that name- is on my name list!! I love names like that. I had Layla too, but I thought that was too smarmy paired with my Lola :)

Love the outfit. And doll, your skin is heaven.

Well Maegan, you don't look much like a turkey to me! You do however look fantastic and dreamy, with or without golden sunrays pouring over the horizon behind you. From the opening shot I thought at first that you were wearing tights, but shots 3 and 5 put me straight on that. But denim leggings? I really thought they were silky-finish black ones until I read your list of ingredients. Can't really make out a denim look, but I'll believe you. The high-heeled boots are lush, and brown with black is very sexy I think! You looked fabulous with them in their previous outing too - so long ago! - with gorgeous pink and white. I'd love to see you revisit that whole outfit sometime actually! I like the way you link to previous appearances like that; I'm often clicking those links. Coming back to the present, the dress and everything else goes beautifully and I love the look. Fab work, and thanks for posting. Oh, and yes, please don't get too carried away stepping back from the camera when you're taking your canyon shots. You wouldn't look nearly so stylish down at the bottom - and there's probably less light down there for photos anyway. :P

I love your blog! I was wondering how you keep your hair so fluffy on top even on your 2nd and 3rd day (with flat ironing to!) My hair is also long and very thick, if I let it air dry my part will keep its body but not if i flat iron it. And I only straighten the ends. So do you tease it or just hair spray? If you tease could you do a hair how-to.
Thanks!

I love the dress and it totally feels like fall and thanksgiving. but then again, I see it with a fabulous pair of sandals at the beach or with a fierce pair of heels and leather jacket for a night out. it's the perfect versatile dress!!!
