my parents dog had 11 teeth pulled last year! shes almost 14 now, and still chewing on bones and eating regular food..life is still good!
Oh no :( I don't brush my Puggies teeth but I might do it now! I hope the little fella isn't feeling too sad. xx

Oh poor baby! Does he have any left? I always worry about that with my chi's. One is very very bad at letting us brush them and builds a lot of tartar. The other we give her cooked bones that she gnaws on (they're like the size of her head. Helps keep the tartar away and make them shiny and clean, but she gnaws so had, the caused a hairline fracture on one tooth. :(

Aw poor Bebop. What a trooper! Kobe had to have 3 teeth pulled about 2 years ago. I need to bring him back in. I think he's probably got a few more that need to come out b/c his breath is rotten!
We have a 6 year old pug named Indy (Indiana Jones). He had 12 teeth pulled last year as well, and was miserable for a day to two after. But more than half of those were baby teeth that never fell out. Yikes! Poor Bebop, feel better soon!
It's not likely that brushing would help much. Small dogs' little, tiny jaw bones don't hold on to the roots of the teeth well, which somehow (I forget how the vet explained it) leads to early and easy tooth decay. It's just a little dog thing. A sad little dog thing.

Oh my heck! I've had several dogs in my day (usuallly Boxers & currently have a Boxer pup) & have never heard of dogs getting their teeth pulled!!! Is it from cavities? How many teeth is Bebop left with? OMG-Now I wanna count the # of teeth my liitle guy has. Get well soon Bebop!
