...but this year, I get to experience it first-hand and it's nirvana.

When I stand in my kitchen, I get an almost 360 view via four windows on each side of the house ...and it makes me so happy just to be able to look out and see trees and nature and blue skies.
The light that shines into our new house has done wonders for my mood. The 3 story condo we spent the last 6 years in had 3 windows total in the entire place. Only 3 windows! And the one window/sliding door that was down stairs looked out to the salmon stucco building and windows of other tenants. Yes, I may be being a bit dramatic but it was like being in jail. I'm so happy to get to enjoy not only the views of the outdoors but to have my own front and backyard with blooming fruit and flowers and trees. It makes me smile every single day.

Yay! We moved into our first flat with a garden two years ago after living in poky London flats for years. I still appreciate it every time I sunbathe out there with my morning coffee. Yay! Enjoy. :)
Terrific photos! I live in a typical NYC apartment - no blooming flowers for me...
Good Girl!..enjoy the view.
beautiful!
It's amazing what windows and sunlight can do for your mood! I'm right there with you :) And springtime blooms make me giddy! I love that you have a lemon tree. I've always said I want to live somewhere someday where I can grow lemons! :)
xoxo J
Your pictures are so.... fresh !
It's amazing how nature shows you a new start each year... I am glad you are now in a place you are happier at... your pictures show it !
hugs
yay for spring. i'm hoping my hydrangeas and herbs will really bloom. i just planted a cherry tomato plant, hopefully in a few short weeks, it'll be in full bloom! great pictures.
YAY!! I'm so glad you are feeling better and I love your photos!!! XOXO
Enjoy that view! :) I couldn't live without tons of windows. I'm SO moody without!
That's awesome! I definitely hope to have my own yard someday, which I know in LA is no small feat!
that's great news maegan!
glad you're in such a good head space.

Loving Spring. I run outside everyday to check the buds on the trees...a bit jealous of your lemon tree!
Oh, and love the leopard coat from the St. Pat's post.
Spring is my favorite! It means warm weather and summer is coming! I can't wait!
awesome! i especially would love to have a lemon tree. they seem so pretty and fresh. do they smell? mmm that would be incredible.
congrats on your lovely garden!
There are two "baby" birds that sit on a bush every morning just outside my window! The same two birds! They peck at the window, I think, to antagonize my indoor cat who sits there watching them. They seem so happy! Love Spring! Love your first photo.....would look beautiful framed....maybe hanging in the gallery where you work? Just saying...........have a great afternoon!
I cant wait for spring! little green leafs are growing up, birds are singing :D
lovely photos!
pick number 2 made me gasp aloud!
and a pretty view makes all the difference in the world. which reminds me that i should open my curtains at home more often. sometimes i just peek out of them to get a glimpse of how pretty it is outside.
I know! i love the plants that are blooming and I can't wait to plant my veggie garden and see if I have a green thumb lol :-)
Cute pics!
that's quite a view you've got there! :)
Ahhh...it is a great thing!
And I will attest to your old condo being somewhat cave-like. The new house would make anyone happier!
these are beautiful, and I am so glad you are enjoying your new home and new views and first blooms. Reading 'it makes me smile ever single day', made my day! I am incredibly happy for you Maegan!
Spring is happening HERE in New York, too, and for us it's like a child coming home from war...
...yippee yay for your views & yippee yay for nature! :)
Gorgeous, gorgeous photos! So inspiring! I wish this is what I was looking at outside my window - and not a dirty snow mound.
So glad spring is here. Such pretty pictures you posted!
So happy for you and your husband! It's amazing how our surroundings affect our mood. Keep up with the happy :D

I'm not a big summer person (since it gets REALLY hot here in South Africa in summertime),but I do enjoy sunlight and being able to see green things when you look out your windows. My boyfriend and I live in a very tiny one bedroom flat, with 2 windows, and one tiny one in the bathroom, but luckily they are big ones, and we have trees and rose bushes out front.Even though I hate heat,I think I would die without (sun)light.
i have to agree....the sun is my drug of choice as well! I live in Florida and it is just now getting to the 70's...i actually laid out yesterday!!! woopwoop! i was really starting to get "down in the dumps" w/ all this rain and cold weather....but now im singin here comes the sun....
Calas are so beautiful! And lucky you get to have your own lemons in you garden.
Your new house sound wonderful! :)
Windows and sunshine - can't get enough!

the husband and I moved from a home that bordered on three roads, to 9 acres of woods and wildlife. I'm sure people eyerolled when I mentioned feeling like living in jail in our first home lol! so be it, I live easier with nature and sunshine around me!
reading this made me happy
