Feeling a bit thicker after my birthday week of indulging copious amounts of peach rings, cake and ice cream, I think it's time to end the celebratory sugar high.
As for birthdays, up until you your thirties, people always ask "How does it feel ...to be {insert age here}?" and up until your thirties it really doesn't feel any different ...or didn't for me anyway. But now, at a time when no one asks anymore, it actually does feel different.
Not only by the expectations you had for your future life {which is now your present life} but by the way your body looks and feels. I don't feel 34 because I'm not exactly sure how 34 feels BUT I know something's different. I know I'm not in my 20's any more and other than the aging body {your skin feels different} and lines deepening in my face, I love my 30's.

I love this dress. I seriously considered buying it yesterday, but I'm trying to save my money so I didn't. It looks super cute on you though! I'm still in my 20s but am looking forward to my 30s. Life is just too chaotic right now and my Mom always said her 30s were seriously the best decade of her life so far.

You look great! I think one gets paranoid after eating and treating ourselves with sweets but sometimes it doesn't really make that much difference, you still look thin to me and in great shape.
I totally agree with you about age, I do feel different now even though I do not feel 33 at all. And every time I am asked my age I will say it normally, without getting upset about people asking, because to me age is just a number, really, even when it sounds like such a cliche. But to me it represents the chronology of my days spent on this earth and nothing else. I feel young and I love my age, I really do. I will always be young and feel that way :)

Yes, being in my 30's something definitely feels different...I work out tons and don't see the results I saw in my 20's...I pull an all-nighter and feel so crappy the next day I wonder how I did it back in college. I have to go to bed earlier in the day, and see the skin on my face slackening NOTICEABLY. (Til I bought my SkinMedica Nightly Retinol cream again...ohmygosh I should have never stopped using that! It seriously tightens up my whole undereye area and lessens all the fine lines around my eyes...argh, I had no idea how bad my "normal" face is until I reverted!)
And it's annoying people don't ask "how do you feel" anymore, because I feel more at ease with myself than I did in my 20's! I think it's a part of growing into who you want to be, instead of dreaming about it.

LOVE the dress - it kinda reminds me of Alexander McQueen's SS10 collection with all of those crazy flowy prints on short dresses. This one is definitely more wearable, though. Great look!

Don't stress about getting older. You are only going to get more beautiful and confident with age. I'm 41 and I LOVE it. And I don't think I look it.! :-)

You look great...I think the most important thing to focus on is not the number but how good you feel and how you take care of yourself in the present because we can't avoid the aging process.....We just have to work with what we have and make the best of it and never just give up on ourselves and let ourselves go....
I'm 34 as of June 2nd but still feel young, silly and like a big kid...I can't wait till Toy Story comes out June 18th I love watching the old ones with the kids..
I'm a big kid with a little more experience and maturity under my belt..just a lil more fat under the belt too..LOL

I'll turn 34 in September, and I'm with you. I've been loving the confidence and freedom that only comes with age. I don't love the lines or the creaks, but I think I would say that I'm the most "me" I've ever been. You just can't totally have that when you're in your early 20's... yet that's the age our society seems to be looking for and valuing. Hmmm...
