Essie Lapis of Luxury Blue Nails

ESSIE nail polish+Lapis of Luxury+light blue nail lacquer

A very perfectly chalky shade of Cornflower Blue, the new Essie Resort Collection (Summer 2010) - Lapis of Luxuryessie blue nail polish, lapis of luxury, light blue nail lacquerwins as my new favorite nail color - hands down.

And as much as I love the creamy cornflower blue color, it was by far my least favorite crayon due to its waxiness & lack of distributing said amazing cornflower blue color onto whatever paper I was trying to color on appropriately. Needless to say, cornflower blue got thrown and yelled at a lot ...and yes, I flip off inanimate objects.

P.S. It's a bit softer & lovelier in reality.

Ooo - you've definitely shown me that bold nail colors aren't something of which to be scared! My current favorite is any shade of orange.

Maegan, I am so with you on the crayon anecdote. That was me as a kid-I was also quite perturbed that there were no proper "flesh" colors in the box either. I guess we were those kids...

That polish shade is just lovely, especially on your nail shape. I actually like this shade better than the jade greens that have been the trend this summer. Pretty!

LOL! I remember the Cornflower Blue crayon. I never understood though -- what is a cornflower??

I had a thing for Brick Red and Red Orange. :p

Have a great weekend!

This color looks great on you! I was debating getting this recently at the nail salon but thought it may be too bright, but it's definitely not! Thanks for sharing!
