An easy two minute DIY {it's so easy it must have been done before but I can't recall ever seeing it ...correct me if I'm wrong} ...I know it seems kinda cheeseball, but try it, it's cuter than you may think. Works perfectly as a little beach bag to carry your essentials in while on vacay ...or for fruits & veggies at the Farmer's Market. Or, use a silk, satin, or vintage camisole as your little wedding bag adding a few matching satin ribbons & or silk flowers or ruffles or anything else you can think of that matches your wedding theme or colors ...and don't forget to remove the tag for that one ;) No it's not going to replace a bookbag or backpack but holds your essentials ...If nothing else, it's fun for the kiddos.

Have Fun!

I'm a big fan of the blue - I'm not sure I could make this happen though because I'm simply terrible about overloading my purse! A girl can dream...

That is a GREAT idea!

Just thinking a girl could also do that with a guy's ("wife-beater") tank too, right? Fill it with rocks and use it on him . . .

Er, sorry. But it IS a great idea.

It would be great if you need an extra bag at the beach or something, when you can get away with just wearing a bikini top.
Love this idea.

I've seen cami tops here and there: at garage sales, thrift shops, dollar stores... and wish I would have bought some for this project! So ridiculously easy, I can't believe it! No, I've never seen this easy version at all. (I've seen the t-shirt you have to cut up here and there, and it doesn't end up looking that great.) Your idea is genius. Well, have a nice week. It is so COLD up her, grey skies, fog.......please send some sunshine up here. Well, your DIY cheered me, for sure!

I made one with a permanent bottom. I posted it on craftster for the reduse reuse recycle challenge.
Here it is:

I included a pic of all the stuff I carry in my bag. It's quite a lot so it think even with a rubber band instead of my method it will hold a lot!

WOW! GREAT IDEA! I never would have thought of that! Thanks for sharing~!!!

What a great idea! I don't know how many people have said this already, but I love how this project doesn't have any permanent effect on the tank top, and can be switched back and forth between a tank and a bag whenever one so desires, all with the simple twist of a hair tie! Perfect, as you have said, for a trip to the beach or a wedding where you don't need to be carrying too much "stuff" in your tote.
I must check out the rest of this blog! Keep up the good work! :)
