She's a Lady Oh, whoa, whoa, She's a Lady

And now you'll have Tom Jones stuck in your head for the rest of the day. You're welcome ;)

What I'm Wearing
* Vintage large plaid print day dress. Tag says J.M. II New York {have had it forever and almost sold it on ebay twice in the past}...worn once before in the winter with boots here. Yet another dress that if the right gust of wind blows, induces the Marylin affect. Learned it the hard way.
* Victoria's Secret black cardigan
* Wide leather wrap obi belt with raw edges - I made it! ...DIY HERE
* Boutique 9 lace-up pump
* Vintage black plastic necklace doubled with a ribbon to shorten into a collar bone piece learn how here
* Louis Vuitton Medium speedy
* Tom Ford 'anouk' cat eye sunglasses ...seem to be sold out everywhere now.

boutique 9 shoes+vintage black plastic necklace

These are hanging from my mantel in front of my fireplace. It's the same stone in the pillars from my location.

Thoughts on Project Runway last night? I think the most exciting part for me is that it's finally in HD. If there's one show I'd really like to see the details on, it's Project Runway and it made a huge difference. When Gretchen's dress came down the runway I wanted it. Like to wear today. The shape of it was fantastic. There are so many contestants now it's hard to know who is good but I think I can already pick out the bad ones ...and I'm not so sure the right person went home last night.

I'm just happy to have one show on TV again ...I've been having withdrawals since everything ended, including basketball. And that's how I know that I probably watch too much of it.

I`m glad you didn`t sell it. It looks great and combined with the belt also very very flattering. It`s my favourite of the last couple of weeks.

Somehow this reads to me very "Brigitte Bardot"...especially since the blog roll call before yours was a series of Brigitte Bardot!...

And you followed right along with the score.

Cheers!

Love the outfit! (espeicially the shoes)

Project Runway was awesome last night! Espeicially since its 90 minutes long. I'm so glad they spend more time on the construction of the pieces.

I am DYING for that dress. You can't sell it! it's fab. (But then again, I am a sucker for a vintage day dress. You remind I have a few I haven't worn yet.) Looking fab as usual, darling!

i love love LOVE this look. you *do* look like a lady.

Project Runway last night: WTF Cassanova??!!
No No No! I like Ivy, so far...and the dude that made the magenta skirt into a shirt!
The Hawaiian/Asian dude seems like a wannabe Christian Soreano (<--spelling?)...we'll see. :)

I almost missed Project Runway last night. My husband reminded me about it, lol. He knows it's my favorite show. I agree on you about the winning dress. It is lovely and the back detail is stunning. It was simple and elegant! And I know you can rock that dress if you have it. I like Cassanova, what a character! Lol on the D&G pants that he never got to wear and got ripped by the other designer. Funny as hell!
Have a great weekend!

Love this Dress Maegan. I have printed off the DIY for the Belt and I plan on attempting this very soon...and by very soon I mean as soon as my craft room is back to its normal self since the renovations - so this could be a few weeks.

Ill post it once its done.

XOXO

Yay for DIYing the belt yourself ...you can use other thick textiles instead of leather if you can't get your hands on any leather! Upholstery fabrics will work.

I kind of loved PR last night, but I almost didn't know it was on - it was just by accident that I stumbled across an ad for it. Where's the advertising Lifetime? Bravo would have been all over this...

maegan- thanks for letting me know about your tan in my blog comments :) it's gorgeous! I do lay out once in awhile but not long enough to get color. This sounds odd, but I worked at a tanning salon for more than 4 years and I think it made my skin less sensitive to the sun because it takes me really long to get a tan now. Maybe it's just because I use SPF now...not sure.

anyways thanks again for letting me know! I'm a spray-tan girl now but I always ask when someone has a great tan!

Ok, I must gush. This post took my breathe away. It's a given that you're flawless, gorgeous and stunning, but this outfit takes the cake. It is sublimely feminine. And those shoes! Could they be anymore perfect. I want to wiggle my nose and have this exact outfit in my hands in 3...2...1.

P.S. Those Tom Ford Anouk shades are murder to get a hold of. I managed to score an *authentic* pair on Ebay. I love them!

Cool dress & of course you made the belt? LOL! What don't you know how to do?

I just got back from a trip to Melrose & my fav store- Crossroads Trading Co. Bummed I didn't have any luck finding anything this trip.

Saw a few dresses with the full skirt, but never have anywhere to wear it. SIGH

Guess I'll just have to drool over yours!

Have a great weekend! Whoa Whoa Whoa You're the lady!lol! Right back at ya & yes I'm singing it!
