On the morn of our Fourth of July bbq party, pre-guest arrival, I asked my husband to, at any time during the day, please pick up my camera and snap some photos of the party and specifically, of me. I know it sounds a wee bit egotistic but being the only one who ever wields a camera, I lack significant photos of my participation in/at events that I host.
...to which he replied "Sure, no problem"
And do you think he got any shots of the cute new mini caftan I was donning? Or any of me preparing food in the kitchen? ...setting tables? ...arranging plants & decor? ...greeting friends at the door? Not one. But how many photos of me in my bikini desperately trying to pump up our rafts with a bike pump do you think he captured? ABOUT 20 ...and that's it. Yep, the entire party and 20 shots of me frantically pumping up and down like I was on an old railroad car.

Well... its a cute pic :) I've been with my husband for 6 years and I'm trying to remember a picture he's ever taken. Not coming up with any lol.
LOL I think that's the curse of people that love taking photographs... you always have pictures of everyone but yourself. I have the exact same problem. Good thing I have a friend that's a photographer so we've made a pact where I take pics of her and she takes pics of me :)

LOL. Eye candy!!! I know it sucks when you're always assigned and expected to be the in house photographer. You capture all the beautiful moments but you're never included in it. It sucks sometimes.

It is probably one of those "hot dog on a stick moments" --you know you shouldn't but you look anyways--you gave him a free pass and the right to capture it on film. Hope you both have a nice weekend.

When I started blogging, my husband was great about taking pictures of everything. He was my go-to photographer. We went to an event the other night, and I really wanted to blog about it. He took ONE picture and that was of me bending over hugging a friend. The friend wasn't in the picture!

They just don't get it. I always have to pass my love the camera and ask him to take a picture of me doing something (or looking exceptionally cute) and feel like a pathetic ego maniac but GEEZ -- I have almost a full memory card of him at the beach, him at weddings, him on the couch...
You should just hire an assistant to follow you. :)
Give the dude a break. He probably wanted to document for everyone how hard you really work around that house....even on holidays! Save these pix for decades from now when he complains he has to do everything. Then show him who "pumped up" the party... ;)

When we were coming back from NY and I was driving, I kept asking B. to take pictures of the mountains. So I upload them, and what do we have? A half dozen pictures of the cars directly in front of us, and some blurry shots of the trees on the side of the road.
OMG I TOTALLY ID with this because I too AM THE ONLY ONE WHO TAKES PICS & MY GF ONLY TAKES PICS WITH INAPPROPRIATE CLEAVAGE AND/OR BUM! I'm willing to bet he was LUVN the cleave action during the pumping.
I totally LOL during a computer training class too, but worth it:)
