This girl is just adorable ...photo taken by Scott, The Sartorialist {July 30}, which I'm sure you know because everyone reads The Sartorialist and it's redundant to repost his photos.
She is adorable from her head right down to her ankles ...and then . . . frumpy old 70's grandpa sandals. Why ruin the cuteness with grandpa sandals?
And then I remembered that I own my very own pair of 70's frumpy grandpa sandals that I indeed wore in the 70's. And it all made sense.

As a fellow haver-of-hideous feet (mostly due to being a runner and having a penchant for painfully high shoes), I feel your pain. Literally. *Oof*.
Okay, so those Jesus sandals are hideous. But please help me understand why that's a natural pose for this chick?
Was she standing like that already when he approached her? Or when he said "one, two, three"...she decided that she wanted to pay homage to Debbie Allen from Fame?
Does she stand like that on the regular? Is it even comfortable? If she had on better shoes, would she have disrespected the better shoes with that pose?
Aww forget it. I'll never get an answer to this... I'm going to start posing like that...while I say PRUNE to make my "make love to the camera" pout.
I'm delirious! Have a good one!
She is a cute girl and I like the outfit, but the shoes need a kick in the ass.

Oooh, your childhood sandals are adorable!! SO cute that you still have them!
And yes, that girls is very cute. Nice mix of patterns. Something you excel at yourself! Thanks for your inspirational blog!
Sorry Maegan I kinda thought those 70's sandals added to her quirkiness...no?
And YOUR 70's sandals are adorable! Oh BTW...who's feet aren't hideous?LOL! I have this thing where I always notice feet, look at them, gross out & then can't stop looking...WHAT IS THAT?!?
Love her outfit alot! : ) xx
Going to the Buster Brown store in Pacific Palisades, CA in the 70's to get our little sandals like that (always in brown) was an annual rite of summer for us as kids. By the ends of summer, the sandals blended in to our tan skin.
Awe, that is a great photo!
Those shoes are ugly. Maybe she should have worn a nice gladiator sandal instead.
aww those little sandals are so cute!

I do not like the girls style at all including the ugly grandma shoes. That's just not my taste. You're childhood shoes however are absolutely precious.
Oh my god, when i saw that outfit, 1st thing i thought was: i LOVE those sandals!!! seriously!!
i really into jesus sandals, always have been! and though u dont like them u have to agree they go very well with her style!
lol...yes raquel, totally. she looks adorable but I would look like an effing idiot. lol
Outfit is cute, but she needs a bra! Her girls look sad.
They're called Saltwater Sandals and they've been around for *years* (obvy). All the hipster girls in Brooklyn wear them. I swear. Every. Single. Girl. I'm on the fence, but they make them for kids too, which is cute...
So funny, I'm the exact opposite of you! I actually don't like her hippie style at all but I LOVE her shoes!
