When the people at BlogFrog approached me and asked if I was interested in being one of 7 leaders in a new parent community sponsored by Screamin’ Daily Deals called the SoCal Family Connection I was a little shocked …mostly because, well, I’m not a parent. But since I do live in SoCal {born & raised} and I am trying to become a parent I thought, What the hell? I’ve never really been much of a team player as so much as a solo artist {metaphors people, metaphors} and thought this would be a great stepping stone outside of my comfort zone. But the amount of pressure I’ve put on myself because of it is a bit ridiculous.

SO, join me and the rest of my SoCal Family Connection Team:

1. Heather from The Spohrs Are Multiplying
2. Kelly from Just Spotted and According to Kelly
3. Sugar Jones from Sugar in the Raw
4. Angry Julie from Angry Julie Monday
5. Jim from Busy Dad Blog
6. Megan from Screamin’ Daily Deals {who gives up to 5-10% of their proceeds back to local schools in support of community, kids, and their education}

…in THE DISCUSSION OF A LIFETIME {I get to talk about fashion} You don’t actually have to live in SoCal to participate OR be a parent AND by joining, you get a chance to win an iPad {I know, awesome right?} …you can follow the discussion on Twitter as well using #SoCalFamily …see you there ;)

LA native & lifestyle blogger Maegan Tintari writes daily at ...love Maegan.com sharing beauty & style secrets, including fashion DIYs, how-to nail art manicures, hair tutorials, and home decorating ideas, as well as a look into her personal life with her husband and adorable dogs, two Frenchies & an old Pug in wheels. Here you will find her talking about their journey & battle with infertility & recent relocation up to the mountains by a lake in search of a better life.

    We are so thrilled to have you as a community leader in the SoCal Family – thanks for being willing to be one of our local experts. And even though you aren’t a parent (yet!), you have so much to offer anyone living in the SoCal area. Looking forward to connecting with you there!

    You ARE a family. You, your wonderful husband, and your adorable doggies. You don’t need kids to be a family! :-)
