What I'm Wearing
* Vintage Saks Fifth Avenue geometric blouse ...this was my grandma's and I will always love it. seen last August UNDER a short body con mini I wore it to her viewing {the ceremony before her funeral} which I know sounds totally sad and depressing but I liked that I wore something of hers. I wore another one of her blouses to her actual funeral as well.
* worn over a soft pink Eryn Brinie drop waist dress ...seen here with leggings/blazer & boots ...and here with another dress over it
* Belted with a tassel tie from my inkblot Leyendecker dress
* Boutique 9 lace up heels last seen here
* Cat eye Tom Ford sunglasses
* Salvatore Ferragamo hobo bag
* W & Bazaar magazine fix thanks to drollgirl

This was the very first time my husband complimented me while wearing this blouse ..."with a you look pretty" which could have been just to break me out of my foul morning mood. Usually he's not a fan of the big poufy sleeves but I'm guessing since the look on a whole is very feminine, he looked past the sleeves.

Dear Mother Nature,

Are you trying to kill us with this heat?!!? Come on already!

...love Maegan

I love when you tell us what your husband said about your outfits. haha, I get a real kick out of it. My boyfriend hates puffy sleeves, but I like them. I think it is sweet you are wearing her things. I like the layering you did here. x

I love how I've been reading your blog foreveerr and you still come up with new original outfits to wear. You've inspired me to work on that since I always go toward the obvious in my closet. (:

That is the perfect outfit for this RIDICULOUS heat wave! I love the 80's retro feel to the blouse. Very cool!

It started to get hot over here too. Hopefully it changes it's mind by the end of the week (wouldn't that be nice? haha).

I love your ability to always take something that may seem unflattering or retro upon first glance - and turn it into something sexy and sooo covetable.
I love the graphic-print blouse on you!
And Oregon is boiling hot too - though I'm a little glad...we never really got a "summer" for more than 2 weeks and it felt like we totally missed out... At least this allows me to get a jump on bulb planting for Spring - just planted huge black (!!) tulips and ruffled white/pink replete daffodils...
Should be interesting come Spring to see how our front yard looks compared to the neighbors' on the block (all boooooring yellow daffodils and some pink tulips)...
Ah, the tiny battles of suburbia!
;-)

SO cool when you find something amazing in a mother's/grandmother's closet. Their closets are the best places to thrift.

This is neither here nor there, but since you're holding a copy - didn't you just fawn all over the cover/article with Michelle and Ryan? Love.
