In or around 2008 when I had more free time and could read every single blog I came across on the internet, I found Sweet Paul, a mostly decor & food & fantastic photography blog and fell in love. But when I became depressed about living in the same dark condo for far too many years and not getting knocked up in a timely fashion, I stopped looking at all decor & mommy blogs {sans a few} because mostly they would just force me into another pitty party about what I didn't have ...blah, blah, blah. Point being, I completely forgot about Sweet Paul until the other day after clicking on a Tweet from Cassandra @ Coco & Kelley directing me to Sweet Paul's latest venture, a magazine! Fall is their follow up issue to Spring ...and the issues are dripping with creative inspiration, not just in the items themselves but the colors and layout as well.
As I slowly begin to lose motivation in finishing decorating our house, flipping through the digital Sweet Paul Magazine gave me a few new inspiring ideas. And since the husband and I decided just yesterday {or was it the day before?} to throw a Halloween party this year, I'll be stealing a few inspiring Halloween decor ideas as well. {although the spooky old bottles may just have to be permanent in our guest bathroom which I have yet to finish}. Below are a few of my faves.

This is the first year in 6 that I am actually really looking forward to the holidays ...and that makes me and the husband happy. When are you going to start decorating for Halloween? ...or have you already?

I cannot wait to see how you decorate for your Halloween party! x

Can't wait to se how you decorate. I just read Sweet Paul magazine a few days ago. I swear it's love.
We live in a townhome so our decorating will be minimal. Plus the fiance plays an annual Halloween bash so we don't have to worry about decorating. It's done for us!

I'm starting TONIGHT! I usually wait until Oct. 1st, but I'll be out of town then.
I usually start decorating the same month as the holiday. But right now we're renovating, so no pumpkins or googly eyes for me. Boo.

i am going to decorate tomorrow. the first of october! for halloween. i think i need more decor however... like how much is enough?
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog about my DIY, its always so hard to take the scissors to your clothes! Sometimes it works out for the best (although sometimes it doesn't haha).

GAHAHAH~!!! the last shot! the googly eyes! i can't even tell you how happy that is making me!!!!
Those inspiration pictures are gorgeous. I will live vicariously through your decorations, since my current place lacks the storage that having seasonal decorations necessitates.
Can't believe I've never laid eyes on this site. I'm moving into the bigger room of my apartment this weekend and need a supercharged influx of decorating inspiration!! I'll be busy for the next few hours...
I wish I could get excited for the Holidays again. On the other hand I love Halloween decor it was always my favorite holiday when I was a kid.
halloween is so much fun! i think i like preparing more than anything else... that skull is so great, knit!

Uhhh, knitted skull? You need to get. in. ma. belly. Cuz I want to eat you up. I have started just a wee bit, if only for the sake of the munchkins. I'm not a big reader of Martha Stewart, but picked up her mag yesterday and she has a ton of really cool, not-so-traditional ideas in it, which I'm always looking out for. She has the coolest "fungus tart" which seriously looks like an old fashioned etching. ch-ch-check it owwwwt.
Merci!
