If LeRoy even smells an apple in my bag, he will sit and stare at it relentlessly until I remove the apple and show it to him ...and when he's lucky, he gets some. He bites it with his front teeth aggressively and it makes me giggle every time ...which is why he gets so many apples! He never gets to eat the skin but many times I'll save the core for him. I ate my apple on the way home from work so it was fresh for him when I walked out of the garage and into our backyard where he was awaiting my arrival ...or the apple's arrival ;)

I have a yellow lab whose whole life revolves around when he is going to get food next. You give him something though and he swallows it whole...never enjoying the actual taste of it. Except apples. Give him a piece of apple and he will chew it until it is mush and swallow. He loves his apples enough to enjoy them slowly.

I thought my dog was the only one who loved apples!
He stares at me with sad eyes if I don't give him any... but a recent vet visit convinced me people food is just not for him anymore (even if his eyes tear up).
