While I'm still in the throes of Thanksgiving planning and trying to put the finishing touches on our dining room, Christmas/Holiday decorating is in the back of my mind on a daily basis. Usually I have a pretty good idea of the color scheme I want to go with but this year I haven't put my finger on the direction I want to go in at all. Being a mad DIYer himself, I went to Sweet Paul for a few ideas and flipped through the holiday issue of his magazine ...and while the above images are among my faves, I'm still undecided. Maybe a pewter metallic? - as it's not gold or silver, it has a different tone and matches our new bench. And maybe some deep burgundy's and deep teals? ...I dunno, still thinking.

Lovely inspirations! I adore the idea of using root veggies and artichokes for table display. Also, that little canoe is too cute.
