When I first saw the Alexander Wang Addison platform boots with the BLUE toe, I almost died. I'm not gonna lie, I fell for them hard. But when push came to shove, and all the 2010 Wang boots went on sale {most probably because the heel is so damn high even I have a hard time walking in them}, I opted for the shorter ankle boot because I thought I'd get more wear out of them. However, when I got them {thank you UPS}, I realized that they had an almost identical toe seam & shape as my Velvet Angels Naked Lunch wedges. And though I will most likely keep them, I was hoping they'd be my go-to boots but because of the heel height, that just may not be the case. What kinda bums me out is every time I fork over the cash for designer shoes, they're too uncomfortable to wear and end up sitting in my closet {or on my magazine stacks} collecting dust. My Louboutin's as well as my Pierre Hardy's, most specifically fall into this category. I just figure if I'm going to pay for the shoes, I want to be able to wear them ...and not fall over in them.

But they're just so lovely! ...these little Constance booties are on sale just about everywhere right now BUT Madison Los Angeles has them for the least ...especially when you enter the code "shopaholic" and get an extra $60 off ... WHAT!??! I know, I freaked out too. {and I'm happy to support any shop in LA} ...but there are only 3 sizes left. Also, if you're like me, always size up in high-end designer shoes {and if you don't have a bum ankle that you refuse to go see the doctor for and love heels, these probably won't be a problem for you}. For now, I'm going to try them with Foot Petals

I know what you mean, I have shoes that I never wear because they are just to uncomfortable. But, that doesn't stop my from trying, though it usually leaves me crying by the end of my usual day filled with at least 3 hrs of walking...why do I even do this to myself...
omg i just fell in love with those shoes!
I freaking adore these I love Alexander Wang and most of my favorite shoes are the least comfy...LOL I guess I have a problem.
Holy moly, those are amazing.
They are great. I have yet to splurge on shoes I can't walk in.

I'm just in awe of women who can actually walk effortlessly in heels, and I'm not just talking "from the building to the car". I mean actually walk around downtown, all day 9-5, go to dinner in the evening type walk. LOL
Anything over 2.5 inches are simply a no-go for me.
Maegan, thank you so much for stopping by my blog and commenting! Designer & Perfectionist, eh?! Seems we have somethings in common:)
Those boots are insane (in a good way).
LOVE! Omg they are amazing!!

You should try the Dr. Scholls inserts if youre shoes are up a size. The high heel ones in the purple package. They somehow shift your weight from the ball of your foot to the heel. Frickin amazing, right? And they totally work.
you're so lucky, this boots are to die for!
ooh love the new boots! Also, for your readers ... try "stylewatch" for the coupon code .. it'll get you 20% off right now making the discount about $80. (just bought a pair of YSLs with it!)
whoa lady...
those shoes are something fierce! HOT HOT!!!
damn, THOSE are some shit kickers!
I love them, i love them, if you don't want them (please be my size) I'd have them :D
but wow yeah, the height of designer shoes always make me feel a little sorry for runway models - esp the ones who fall...
I am SO in love with the Constance booties too. I really love the grey/tweedish pair. Would love to see an outfit post with these bad boys (and I hope they don't hurt too too much!)
Lift your look with Alaïa Lace-Up Calf Hair High Heel Ankle Boots’ heels that measure approximately 4.5 inches / 11.43cm / 115mm with a 1-inch platform. These beige calf hair Lace-up ankle boots have a bow-embellished ruffled suede trim at top, an almond-shaped toe, stitched detail and a zip fastening at side with a logo-stamped suede zip pull.
All I can say is OMG!! They are absolutely fab... The heel is a tad too much for me too I'm afraid :( I'm good up to 3 inches, 4 inches if there's a 1 inch platform under the balls of the feet. Luckily I am 5'7"so I wear heels just because I like the shoe, not to make me taller. Wear them in good health and may I suggest that when you do wear them bring along another pair of shoes that are more comfy and will match your outfit. Just in case; for when the 2 hour "dealing with the pain" feelings kick in before your day has ended.

They are so cute! So what's the final verdict? Worth it or too uncomfortable? I found them for $200! Deciding whether to go for the kill or not...
