What I'm Wearing
* Forever 21 cowl neck sweater
* Forever 21 black skinny jeans ...courtesy of The Accessory Files {Julie sent me a box of goodies to play with last month - so many fun things. Thanks Julie!}
* Forever 21 suede pointy toe pumps {they had one strap near the toe but I took them to the shoe repair and had them add the other two}
* Vintage faux fur leopard coat {my grandma made this in the 60's - it's my favorite piece in my closet - I wore it to our wedding reception in 2006}
* Vintage Gucci bag
* Nicole Miller rhinestone earrings from GILT, vintage gold & gemstone ring was my grandma's as well, and my engagement ring and wedding band

How is my entire outfit from Forver 21 and the rest vintage? How funny. I really had no idea until I began typing out the contents of my wardrobe.

While I was editing my photos for this post, the husband walked into my office and handed me his iphone and said "I heard this song about a month ago and it always makes me think of you" ...then he left the room and the song started playing and immediately I started crying.

I've heard the song a hundred times on the radio and just sing away to it in the car ...and now when I hear it, it will have a new meaning and I'll probably tear up a little. My husband just turned my ordinary morning into a movie moment that will be etched in my memory til the end of time. For that, and so many other reasons, I love him so much.

and i adore that song. i wish my boyfriend would think of me when he hears it. but it's okay...he already gave me brad paisley's "she's everything" so i can't be too mad.

I was just going to comment on how beautiful I think that ring is, but then I read that it was your grandma's, as was that coat AND SHE MADE IT. I am in awe of your grandma right now - she was one stylish lady! How lucky you are to have gotten such precious gifts from her.

I'm going to get out my sewing machine and whip up a leopard coat! Too cute!

I bought a few yards of leopard fabric in Texas in the 70's. Had planned to make a coat. Never did make that leopard coat! But, lately, I have been (again) using the fabric as a throw all of these years later! They sure made fabric to last "way back then". It has been "through the mill", as they say! Love that you often wear your grandma's items. You are a beautiful and sentimental grandaughter. Happy holidays!

awww. that's too sweet of your husband. I love mixing designer with vintage and cheaper brands. I think a few key good quality pieces can amp up anything.

I've been on the hunt for a vintage look leopard print coat. but so far no luck.

the first time i heard that song it was also because my husband said it was the way he felt about me and now whenever i hear it i get butterflies in my stomach. except when im annoyed with him and i just turn it off.
