Yet another abundance of photos ...but you tell me you like it ;)
What I'm Wearing
* Vintage wool camel jacket ...this came with a pencil skirt as a suit but I wear them separately, obviously ;) ...seen once here. One little button popped off this morning as I was getting dressed, I kept it in my pocket all day as if I was going to sew it back on while at work. {that didn't happen}
* Forever 21 leopard print, short sleeve, turtleneck t-shirt {c.a. 2006} ...I haven't worn this in a while actually, and found it at the bottom of my drawer, only after deciding I couldn't possibly wear my denim shirt AGAIN.
* Express salt and pepper tweed wide leg pants - or trousers if you prefer ;) - I've had these for ages. A great staple in any wardrobe. They always come back in style. ...seen here
* Asos boyfriend belt ...I love this belt. You could almost size down though. I find when I wear it around my actual waist, I have to put it on the smallest hole and it's still a bit loose, which I like, don't get me wrong, because it's more comfy. AND because it's a bit big, I can also wear it around my hips with jeans. I'm a true Medium and that's what I bought but could have gone with a small ...just fyi. - - also note: these boots from Asos are HOT
* Sam Edelman lace up granny boots {I always seem to wear these shoes with this belt}
* Vintage Givenchy perfume bottle necklace was my grandma's ...seen once here ...both rings were also my grandma's, one is older than the other
* Nicole Miller drop ball rhinestone earrings from GILT
* Tom Ford cat eye sunglasses
* Louis Vuitton speedy bag {30} ...though I would have preferred this DVF bag instead
...which I purchased yesterday via HauteLook/Facebook sale. I only wish I had this pop of color for the outfit. * * * * *
As I was getting dressed this morning the husband casually walked by and said "Gettin' dressed for THE LADIES today, huh" ... long ... pause ...WHAT?! I responded.Husband: "You know, BIG MAN pants"
Me: "...and what pants would you consider for the men?"
Husband: "You know, TIGHT ones"
Me: "Well, that's not the look I'm going for"
Husband: "Yeah, so you're dressing for the ladies today"
I left it at that but just for fun, forced him to tell me I look pretty before I got in my car to leave for work. I mean, I suppose he has a point, considering he's a man and all but do you think it's valid? Do you think NO man would find this outfit attractive? I'm not so sure about that but I'm not so sure I care either. I don't get dressed for men OR women in the morning, I get dressed for myself ...based on how I feel, based on how I wish to use my creativity for the day and portray myself to the world. I wonder if he thinks he's dressing for the ladies? ;)

What a lovely colour, REALLY suits you! And the shoes are awesome as well.
Those pants ARE tight in the butt and please Meagan, you could never look anything but gorgeous. You could wear a paper sack and look beautiful!
I love the look of the pants but my husband says the same sort of thing. When I head off to work I dress for the ladies since I don't see my husband until after I've changed into my lounging clothes. On the weekends I dress for him. :)
u look lovely,such a great combo!!!!:) enjoy your weekend!!!kisses
This is a very smart outfit! I love the blending of the textures and patterns. Your husband is funny...did you give him the "side eye"
gorgeous outfit! yes, trousers ALWAYS come back, so it's best to hold on to them.

OMG shoes =)
So funny, I just did a post about who we dress to impress! http://forgiveme-imblowingyourmind.blogspot.com/2010/11/great-debate.html) You look very beautiful and I think it'd be an attractive outfit for men as well. I'm glad to know that thought crosses other people's mind as well! Have a great weekend!
LOVE it! The shoulder details on the jacket are great!Hope you have a fab weekend.

I wouldn't think of this outfit. I rarely pair grey with camel, but you look terrific. Love the new purchase!
Absolutely LOVE ♥ You look amazing hun. Enjoying that California crisp air!:)
Your husb is funny. You have in the past expressed his love for Black Widow, though...and she's in full-body spanx, so we know his preference for dress. Haa haa!
This looks killer put-together. I think you could rule the world in this outfit. :) Go Maeg!
Adored your vintage Givenchy charm necklace! It's divine! ... Whole attire is amazing, I cant totally see why yoou love those boots, they are best of both style and unique! Have a lovely friday girl! xo

Lol!! That conversation between you and the hubby is hilarious!! Dressing for the ladies! Love that!
This is one of my favorite looks because it's so chic, simple, and classy. It's one of those looks where you can wear to work, meeting with friends, or a day out with the hubby! ;)

I held on to several of MY wool trouser pants, but they no longer fit! And I'm slender. Question: Does wool shrink hanging in the closet over time? Anyway, You look FAN-TASTIC! (We are all fans of yours!) Happy Weekend!
I would say 50/50, I like dressing for myself and my husband, but that depends on my mood as well.
I find your outfit fantastic, and I think those pants are gorgeous and my husband would probably like them on me if I wore them.
They look great on you! Love your little jacket, so cute :)
The details on that blazer are utterly fantastic. And what a shape!
this look is awesome, no matter who you're dressing for! so pretty and polished, and the givenchy perfume necklace is wonderfully unique.
i tend to say, dress for yourself, because if you feel good about what you're wearing everyone will be drawn to that confidence.

I think its fascinating what men consider "dressing for ladies" haha. I am guessing the few men that consider that style sexy may be a bit too fashion conscious to be straight haha. But regardless I almost always dress for myself for the exception of special nights for the boyfriend :)
I love the puffed shoulders on the jacket!!
this outfit is one of my faves so far...i love it! you are so creative with your wardrobe. i admire you!
Great outfit Maegan, those pants are amazing.
You look great! Very classy. I think men just want us to look sexy ALL the time. My husband make comments sometimes about certain dresses I wear to work. Just so happens to be the dresses that are looser and not so sexy. Men......
PS. LOVE the location of pics yesterday and today.
Great outfit, so chic! That blazer is so cute! :)

Great looking outfit!
And to answer your question. I get dressed for me. If I happen to please other people (read: men *wink*) with how I look than that's a win situation :-)
I get dressed for myself and both, I suppose. If I'm feeling pretty, it will likely be 'dressing for the men', if I'm feeling trendy, it could be interpretted as 'dressing for the ladies'.
Haha, that conversation with your hubs made me laugh. Just the way you wrote it out and how it played out. I'm laughin'.

Yes I think you look hot...though Im sure most men would also agree...
Men and there tight loving ways!

of course not all men would think this outfit's not sexy. and it seems youre husband has an old fashion way of considering what is girlie or not.
I love, love, love that Givenchy perfume bottle necklace! And that jacket is beautiful!

You are gorgeous in anything! I adore your blog.
I just wear what I want to wear. It's easier that way :)
Rawrr! I definitely don't see men complaining about this outfit. I dress for myself. I'm the one wearing it so I want to feel good in it and I think when you feel good in something it gives you a confidence that men are attracted to. Also, I already have one kid and I don't want to walk around looking like I'm advertising that I'm ready for another.

Your husband just proved it!
First, the photos are BOSS! I almost thought the background was digital for a sec!
If a gay guy liked your outfit, would that count as a valid man's opinion? Or is he grouped in with the 'ladies' too? I think I know the answer to this.....
I generally dress for the ladies, though I like tight pants. You are rocking ALL of my fave things: leopard print, peep toes, tweed and a shrunken camel blazer. And I think you look fab, darling!
your husband is so funny ! i think you look elegant dear, love the jacket and the leopard print.

witty husband lol! fabulous outfit, i specially love that jacket really tones down the animal print ^^ the jewelry is divine!
gorgeous combo! and such pretty details in accessories!
xx
Divine...
This is gorgeous !
such a lady ♥
You look amazing! My boyfriend made the same comment about how I dress and "who" I dress for. He still doesn't get that I dress for myself *facepalm*.
Ahahahahaha! I am dyin' LOL right now..."I wonder if he thinks he is dressing for the ladies"...so effing funny
Haha, your hubby has a bit of a fair point there, but i still find it hilarious. Just keep doing what you do! :) I dress for myself when I get dressed, but if people find it attractive, then whoot. haha
This outfit is SOOO cute! I love the camel scarf!
I like the 'fit. I'm not gonna lie though,I instantly thought savings and loan when I seen the look but I still like it though.

Maegan, I can completely relate! My fiancé has made it quite clear that he doesn't like my high-waisted shorts or harem pants...he just thinks that kind of clothing is ridiculous, I mean why wouldn't you want to wear something skin-tight for goodness sakes??? Hahaha...I don't care though, I will wear and enjoy both tight and baggy garments as I've never let what other people think stop me :) And clearly you are the same way, yay! This outfit is amazing to me and you look hot whatever you wear!
well i am not a man, but i LOVE THIS OUTFIT! perfect! stylish, chic, classic, modern, flattering, beautiful...IT HAS IT ALL!!!!
You look so ladylike and glam to me. I'm only 18 but I do think that fashionably women tend to dress more for women and fashion folk than men. Think of fashion trends like harem pants and jumpsuits or even statement shoulders men just don't get them.
you look great in this outfit
but men like to see slimlined tight fitting garments
when wearing wider pants , sometimes it can add width or weight.
In the end though, you should dress for yourself first!
If you were dressing for the men, you would be in a tight, sleezy top and a thong. Men don't always "get" fashion and it makes me laugh. :) I love what you said about dressing for yourself. That is what is important! If I feel good about how I look, I am a happy confident person. When I dress how I think others want me to....not so happy. Love you and your blog! I'm so inspired by you. You are so my girl crush! I have purchased an old hair setter off ebay like yours and have been buying up vintage jewelry and clothes off etsy inspired by you! Keep up the great work! xoxo
I can never figure out how to pull of grey with brown...you did a great job on that outfit.
I think men would find it attractive, you look great. I use to dress for the men & women in the office but now I'm all about dressing for myself.
I love this outfit and I think any man would look at you and instantly think you are attractive. It's not about what you wear but how you carry yourself!!!
I'm partial to the Speedy but I can't wait to see the new bag!!! XOXO
I LOVE your trousers. Especically the texture. I'm surprised your husband didn't mention how wonderfully they hug your behind. I hope I can find a pair that fit me like that.
i most definitely dress for myself too! i'm sure subconsciously i think about how it'll "look"... but i'm more concerned with it looking "right" on me, if that makes sense.
i don't dress for women (although a majority of us do!), and i don't dress for men. if there's anything either sex digs, its confidence. so just wear your confidence, snug as a sweater, and rock a nightie for all i care!
very nice jacket
