What I'm Wearing
* Chunky knit sweater ...thrifted. But it's old so it's probably almost vintage by now.
* DL1961 Premium Denim gray jeans ...from GILT last seen here
* Matiko taupe over the knee boots from HauteLook {I got them in black too} This was actually my first HauteLook purchase ...and while there was a mix-up with the delivery of these {I got someone else's order} HauteLook handled the situation fantastically ...and I got my boots yesterday. I think they are a bit of a knockoff of the Barney's Co-Op OTK boots from last Winter - and they are a bitch to get on and off but they're hot. You can find them HERE, HERE
* Louis Vuitton Speedy {30}
* Tom Ford Anouk cat eye sunglasses ...maybe it's time for some new sunnies. I've worn the shit out of these ...but I still love them!

If you've been a long-time ...love Maegan reader, you'd know that my beloved hair stylist, Nikki, stopped doing hair a couple months ago, leaving me out in the cold. Oh the dramatics! ...I waited as long as I could stand to look at my grown out highlights, hoping she'd change her mind and come back to me, but no such luck. So I searched for the closest Salon to my house, because that's how I roll, which happened to be Aveda and stopped in last Sunday morning for a consultation, agreeing to a little bit of red in my life.
You see, ever since the first Iron Man movie was released, where Gwyneth Paltrow donned a strawberry blonde "do" to play Pepper Pots, my husband has been, not-so-subtly speaking of his fondness for it. I even went so far as to go as The Black Widow for Halloween ...but finally, since I was going to a new stylist and all, I decided to take the plunge and switch it up a little for the husband.
I went in yesterday afternoon at 4:30pm ...and at 8pm {omg it took sooooo long} I left, loving my new reddish do. But when I woke up this morning, the red was a bit more STARTLING than last night and I second-guessed it. Though when I walked out into the living room to leave for work, I got the husband approval {sometimes he just stares at me, lol} and I suppose that's what I was waiting for ;)
ps. I love your comments in the prior post ...about red washing out quickly. I think it will be a little softer in a week or so.

Love the new color. Did you got to an Aveda school, or an actual salon? I'm wondering if that was why it took so long. My sister in-law just graduated from a school not to long ago, and the first time she did my hair there it to FOREVER to color it. Love the boots!

Your hair looks great. We all need to change it up a bit, and I'm glad hubby approves too. I went to Nikki too (only once but was planning another visit) and finally had to make an appt. at Capella Salon in Studio City. Definitely miss Nikki's prices, but the stylist was great.
I've blabbered on too long. :)

Also, I really wish my ass looked that good in jeans.

Still love the hair and the boots are GORGEOUS!!! XOXO
Love the boots and I'm jealous! I have a BCBG pair that are the same height, but it's not OTK on me. Ugh. I need OTK boots!
I don't know why... but the boots remind me of an armadillo for some reason... lol - they're ridiculously hot!!! =)

I think your hair, besides complementing your skin, makes your blues pop. And in these pics, you still have a lot of blond. Not too red! Very fun. And I like the outfit too! lol.
literally dyyyying over the boots! i'm adding them to my christmas list right now. and your hair looks amazing (but let's be serious, when doesn't it?!). happy friday! xo

I'm a recent ginger convert.... again. I went red about seven years ago but it wasn't until September that I decided to go red again. I love it.
Yes it does fade... FAST. Go as long as you can between washings. Also, wear red with your red hair. :) It is my favorite thing to do!
looking great maegs!
I just came across your blog three days ago, and I'm hooked. The fashion DIY, the clothing and today the boots just made my mouth water. I'm a new regular
Those are some of the best over-the-knee boots I've seen this season - they're fabulous!
I love the red! But along the lines of what everyone else has said, the red will wash out really fast. I wore my hair red for awhile but eventually gave up because it just wouldn't last. I didn't want to get it refreshed that often ... and that's saying a lot because I am a hairstylist.
... and were you seriously there for 3.5 hours? That is outrageously long! I think I would have gone stir crazy. :)
Love those boots and sweater! Chunky knits are so comfy!

Love it! Sometimes I think of going to my natural dark brown...but I'm too scared.
Have a great weekend!
