I've gotten so many comments, tweets, and emails about the OTK boots I wore yesterday I thought I might as well just give you all the details here and make it easier for the both of us.

details
* These are a knock-off of Barney's Co-Op boots which retailed last year {and sold out asap} for $750 - see the comparison here - I actually like these better :0)* Other than being difficult to get on AND needing assistance pulling them off, they are very comfortable to walk in - once you get used to so much leather around your knees. {I did a few squats after putting them on to soften up the leather a bit and give them a start on their natural "slouch"}
* They didn't hurt my feet or give me blisters - though I didn't walk extensively in them.
* The heel is not ridiculously high and the hidden platform makes them even less so ...though you know I love heels {I would like them a teeny bit higher really} but this height is definitely easier to walk in.
* I wore them with thinnish socks but not stockings and did NOT need to size up. I bought an {American size} 9. I wear a 9 in all but designer shoes - because Italian shoes are made so narrow, I always have to size up to a 40.
* The buckles on the sides are gold ...but not in a GARISHLY BRIGHT sort of way. I even thought if I hated the buckles, I could just cut the straps off all-together.
* I was able to fit my skinny jeans in them no problem by tucking them in socks ...but any thicker denim may have been problematic. Though I'm not known for my "skinny" legs, lol.
* They look more "luxurious" in person than in the photos here.
links to buy
* Matiko OTK Cadie Boot on AMAZON* They're ON SALE at Revolve Clothing but only have size 6.5 in each color
* Endless has them as well in many available sizes for $330
NOTE: it's kind of mind-blowing to me that a knock-off boot retails for $330 ...just sayin' $330 is not necessarily budget friendly for all. I got both of mine for the price of one {about $357 total} because they were on sale at HauteLook. You could wait for their next sale or check all the "sale" sites.

Great boots!
wow that's a great deal you got!
I can't justify spending over $300.00 on a pair of boots. Meagan, we are in a recession. Please post cheap DIY's for home decor and fashion. I love to see awesome fashion and home decor finds that you have thrifted or recycled or reused. I love your blog and think you are so beautiful and talented but I'm sure that $300.00 for boots (especially in Southern California) is out of the question for most of your readers.
I luv otk boots, theyre sexy! My bf's jaw hits the floor when I wear them with thigh highs!
You got those for a steal Maegan and you have great legs! x

They are cute! And I am glad they are not garishly gold in the buckle department, as that would have been a deal killer in some ways!
Hope you are having a fab weekend! :)
Anon: I agree ..which is why I put the NOTE at the bottom ...but I also got TONS of questions {email and twitter} about them that I had to pass the info along
I remember when those were on Hautelook... by the time I checked they had already sold out in my size. After seeing them on you I am KICKING myself for missing that great deal! Fingers crossed they will be back! Thanks for the review and info!
I've been on the hunt for new winter boots. I love these, especially the lighter/taupe ones. I can justify buying these for the cold weather here in NY. I will definitely consider these - thanks so much for your review!
Love them. However I have so many OTK boots! Maybe if I spot them on Hautelook i'll purchase them :)
I just loved the outfit you wore them with too!
lucky me,
im a 6 1/2
:D
grand boots!
amazing freaking deal! I agree with what you said about knockoff prices... sometimes the knock offs are still as bank-breaking as the originals... sometimes they're even better than the item they're copying.. and sometimes, just sometimes, they are a fabulous steal =)

Need those in my life immediately. Problem is I'm 5'2''...feel like they make me look shorter. p.s. just noticed your comment on a guest post of mine on The Knotty Bride way late! Still, it MADE MY DAY!! :~)
