Dinner at Houston’s

DSC_0225

When the husband and I dined at Houston’s the other night I took full advantage of the opportunity to play around with my new camera’s settings under the dim candle lit ambiance. And though many of the photos are blurry, sometimes I think there’s a little bit of magic in a blurred shot. It beckons the viewer to fill in the details with their own imagination. Sometimes I even do it on purpose …other times however {since I’m still learning the ins and outs of my camera} blurred shots are complete accidents …but it doesn’t mean I don’t like the way they turn out.

You’re getting the hang of it! Mine is ok… not great without good lighting. I need a Canon 5D… and 4,000 bucks. LOL!

    Food looks great too!

houston’s is my absolute favorite restaurant, which feels like a crime since it’s a chain. their veggie burger is the best thing i’ve ever eaten.

    fun pix!

I’m always afraid to bust out my camera in restaurants unless I’m with a group and we’re taking photos of each other.

I agree about blurry shots, especially with warm, low lighting… romantic! :)

hotpants: I too feel a bit embarrassed with the camera & taking photos in restaurants. ;) I didn’t take too many …and I try to be sneaky about it lol!

Houston’s might seriously be my favorite casual dining restaurant OF ALL TIME! I used to work across the street from the one in Manhattan Beach and it was my go-to for lunch (an expensive habit, I know!) I DIE for their veggie burger (and I’m not a vegetarian!) and the Thai noodle steak salad is the BIZNESS!!

ahhh, I miss LA. There is a Houston’s here in ATL, but its SUPER FAR from my house :(

i’m fortunate enough to live within 2 miles of two Houston’s (used to work for them too)…i simply adore the service and food, coming from an ex employee it shows a lot about the company.

love the shots! i’m still figuring out my camera!
