Look Around, Leaves are Brown
& the Sky is a Hazy Shade of Winter

What I'm Wearing
* William Rast skinny jeans, actually called the "Sienna Legging" in azure
* Black and white striped Lacoste 3/4 sleeve Tee {I bought it 2 sizes too big so it would be baggy rather than tight}
* Vintage wool oversized blazer ...thrifted, seen once here
* Old charcoal gray scarf from GAP
* DVF blue suede bag from HauteLook
* Topshop patent leather oxfords
* Tom Ford cat-eye sunglasses {anouk} ...I think I've been wearing these for almost a year now and I still love them. This is why I think splurging on sunglasses is a good thing. If you take care of them, and get a great pair, the cost broken down per day is minimal ;) {example: let's just say they were $402 and I wear them 365 days, it breaks down to a little over a dollar a day = totally worth it!}

Title: lyrics from The Bangles "Hazy Shade of Winter"

Apparently LA didn't get the memo about Fall ...and how it generally falls between the months of September & December and not in the middle of January. Or maybe LA just likes to play by it's own rules but regardless, the trees are all different shades of brown & red & orange & yellow and their leaves are falling like snowflakes should be. Though as I sit here in a tank top in 75degree weather {I wore this last Thurs}, I have to be honest when I say I'm glad it's leaves that are falling and not icy cold snow.

I especially love your oxfords. I've been debating wearing them with skinny jeans for a while, so I'm glad you led the way for me! I had a dream the other night that I met you and you taught me all about how to get clothes tailored. Random, funny...but true.

Happy Wednesday!

I love how you make even the most simply classic outfits look so freaking elegant. You're magical, I think. I also really, really adore your oxfords and think I probably need some in my life.

NC has had stupid rainy weather for days and days. I'd love 70s and unseasonable falling leaves!

Totally feel the same about sunglasses. Sure I spend a pretty penny on them but I still rotate around every single pair. I love them all.

Falling leaves in January? Meagan you've got me all confused! Nothing like that here in Scotland.

I loove this blog. Have to read it everyday... I'm constantly watching your hair tutorials for ideas. Any chance you would share what you do for a workout? I have a similar body type, but am always envying your tone. I'm curious what other grown, curvy women do. Ugh... I hope that doesn't sound too "Curves" Gym, or whatever, but I like looking womanly, not sticky, but you seem to pull of the woman body type and still be tiny!

I just found your blog and I'm now a loyal reader. I really love this outfit on you and your pictures are stunning. I often by striped tees in larger sizes so they are slouchy like this, and they look great with skinny jeans/pants.

So weird to see your surroundings looking like Fall in January! Also a change to see you wearing flats! I love them!

Oh the picture of the sky is breathtaking. I would take those leaves over 13 degrees (that's what it is today) in a heartbeat.
