Make Right Now Alright

DSC_0027

What I'm Wearing
* BeBe multi print maxi dress {pretending to be a skirt} - I think I bought this dress in 2006 and still love it ...though I wish it was a teensy bit longer with these {ridiculously high shoes} ...seen here and here
* Vintage chunky knit turtleneck ...seen recently here
* Tom Ford cat eye sunglasses
* Alexander Wang "Constance" ankle boots {on sale now} ...shoe post here

I'm so looking forward to longer days ...and not having to rush to beat the sunset after leaving the gallery just to get a few good photos before nightfall. But on days like these, where the sky is striped with peach & pink & purple, casting a warm haze onto everything in sight, I'm so grateful and I just soak it up. We often get fiery & outrageously colorful sunsets in LA, but no matter how many times I've seen one, I can't help but stare into the sky in amazement. I've just caught the beginning of this one in these shots and still I'm in awe.

You know, now that I'm thinking about it, I have a dress with tiny straps, very long, an "ethnic" pattern in browns and deep blues that I can wear with a chunky sweater over it! It was a gift many years ago, and was too big for me, so it's been hanging in a basement closet all of these years. Thanks for this great idea! p.s. You look beautiful, as always.

p.s. I have been trying to describe the "ethnic" print/design of my dress.......it's kind of "Aztec/Inca" design with large zig/zag in the muted background. I can't seem to completely describe it!

That sweater looks so comfy, love it! How do you walk in those shoes??? I would be crying and limping!LOL!

I feel the same way about the sunsets lately...gorgeous! I make my hubby stop as we walk the dog so I can take pics w/my camera phone. He doesn't get it...but it takes my breathe away!

I actually love the lack of light on these pics, it matches perfectly your dress turned into skirt so well! .. Smart idea :P

I love how you layered the over-sized sweater on top of that maxi dress!! I was at H&M yesterday and totally saw this long skirt that was super cute. Now I wish I bought it after seeing how you wore it, gave me an idea.. Ahh going back today!!

My daily obsession these days, is the sheer, tiny floral prints of the seventies...with a lot of warm layers underneath, and a soft chunky sweater on top.

Cheers!

I can only imagine what a glorious backdrop the LA sunset sky is for your photos. When I lived in southern Florida, the sky at sunset would turn to pink.It was something to see. If you are ever in South Florida, don't miss it.

As always, your hair looks georgeous. Where can I get hair like that? ;)

Every time I see your photos now I am reminded of the complete inadequacy of my camera. My new year's resolution is to remedy that post haste!

outfit post with THE shoes!!! yay, I love it. I feel like if I got this pair, I would have to bring flip flops to drive (I have more issues driving in heels than walking), but totally worth it, they're amazing.

I have to tell you that I am OBSESSED with your Tom Ford cat eye sunglasses - those are the "anouk" ones, right?

Well, I've been on the hunt for two months now, and they're SOLD OUT everywhere, and they aren't even making them anymore. I can only find them on ebay, USED. I'm in love with them though. You have such a great fashion sense! Don't ever stop posting!!!!!
