While I think this wallet is absolutely gorgeous, the fact that it has only one lonely pocket - yes, one. lonely. pocket., makes it near useless to me.
Okay, to be fair, it has an open pocket/slot on the back as well ...and to be optimistic, it's great for cash and maybe a few cards if I were say, just running out on a quick errand. Maybe I could slide a skinny lip gloss in it with some cash and my ID and use it as a clutch bag for a night out? Cute! But honestly, I had hoped for it to be a replacement for the Burberry wallet that now lives in my bags, full of slots and pockets for all my cards & other wallet-ey needs.

Obviously since there were no alternate photos of the PS1 wallet on the Proenza Schouler site, I just assumed it had all the makings of a real wallet inside and not just of a well, leather pocket ...and, had I known, I probably wouldn't have purchased it.
That said, I do love it ...and I am going to keep it. I suppose I can find a separate wallet to keep plastics & such in and strictly use this for cash and other papers. *sigh* the sacrifices we make for beauty and fashion ;)

It's adorable and I would always compromise functionality with accessories, aesthetics is always my top priority :)

Whippin' out the *so*cute* wallet always gives me a happy little inside smile.
Teee! :)
Whipping out the MONEY from it?...outside smile.
Haa HAA! :D
I do agree with you it is freaking fabulous looking but I wouldn't have been so nice and probably returned it haha. I just retired a lovely turnlock Marc Jacobs for a nice Tory Burch. The card slots and change pocket is something I could not give up.
Ps. Please stop by and enter my little giveaway! xoxo
I so want a PS1 one of these days, I do love that PS had such an affordable option for those who want a bit of luxury. I could see using this in a bigger purse, it's so beautiful!
Sigh, that's too bad that it's not exactly a functioning wallet....it's gorgeous. I have full faith that you'll be able to make it work and look forward to seeing it in outfit posts to come :)
I think you didn't see all the pics properly... There are more views in some of the other colors like the cardinal red and the pale blue that show the inside of the wallet as well!
ah what a let down :/
So sad to hear its not that functional. It's gorgeous and I have been eyeing it for quite some time. Oh well... on to the next lust list.

It is absolutely gorgeous, so sad that it's not so functional. I agree it's perfect for cash and receipts and that kind of stuff. And I am OBSESSING over your background figurines! LOVE!

oh MRUNA, I did NOT see the other shots!!! Too bad! Good to know they are there though.
Have you tried a Hobo wallet? Theyre so cute and fit everything even some lip gloss, and you can use them as a clutch- just a suggestion!
Agree though that it is just so pretty, but yes I also think that a cute night out as a clutch would work best for it, as if you are like me I have way to much of everything to carry around on a day to day basis that all would be stuffed to the brim in one pocket. But I too would not give it up ;)
Happy weekend beautiful!! xo
hey! great wallet!
i love your blog!

Drats! I hate when online purchases turn out to be unsatisfying in some way--although I will say there is absolutely nothing aesthetically unsatisfying about this gorgeous wallet.
i have a dooney and burke piece like this that i LOVE but... like yours it is a glorified pocket. i keep in in my purse and use it to hold tissues and lip gloss and extra hair ties. things like that, that would otherwise just be rolling around in the bottom of my purse.

omg what a cute wallet! thanks for this post girl!
i was going to purchase the same wallet but since it had just one slot i didn't want it. i need a wallet to match my bag!
haha I love the Banksy book in the background ;) I wanted him to win at the Oscars to see what would happen!
I've always been tempted to get one of these, because, in all fairness, Proenza Schouler is amazing.
I'm a little wary of the one pocket though - I lose things pretty easily, and I feel this would just be inviting catastrophe.

I'm contemplating buying one and using it as a clutch but after reading this.. am I being delusional?
Would it feasibly fit a few cards, some cash, an iphone and maybe keys??
Thanks!
xx Cristina
Really nice wallet. I'm looking forward to it.
