It's not really a regimen, per se, because I'm not really that consistent ...but these are the products I generally use on my face. Surprisingly, you can find most of them at the drugstore.

* Neutrogena Fragrance Free Liquid Neutrogena, Facial Cleansing Formula

* Proactiv Solutions: Renewing Cleanser + Revitalizing Toner - I don't use the entire line but I do love these two products immensely. I actually began using them a few years ago when I started taking so many photos of myself for this blog. There are spots you can avoid seeing in person but photos don't lie and flaws just stand out over anything else and you know I am a perfectionist! I've never had acne, per se, but Proactiv really keeps the blemishes away. It, along with my blog, have also helped me stop picking at my skin ...which is a horrible habit and always makes matters worse {even if I think it's going to make it better}.

* Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF

* Burt's Bees Naturally Ageless Day Lotion
*All photos taken of my actual products in my bathroom at home

I wish I could stick to a great skin care routine! Lovely blog :)

I'm all about the Aveeno and Neutrogena products. Sadly I'm not very good at having an actual routine either. I wash my face everyday... any thing else I do is an achievement.

I love the artistic way you photographed these common, household items :)
Maegan, you are absolutely correct! Never, never smear, rub, massage the eye area.....my mom used to mention this to me when I was very young. It was very common advice in her day.....you have excellent insight, for being so young! Have a nice weekend!
Thanks for the comment Maegan! I too believe in the theory that the less eye rubbing the less wrinkles. I prefer the Neutrogena/ hot shower method. Although, sometimes this results in "raccoon eyes" as the Boy so kindly puts it.
I was using Proactive for a few years. I don't have acne, but would get breakouts. My skin was worse at 40 than when I was in HS, or in my 20s. I never had a problem back then! Go figure. Anyway, just a few months ago I started having problems with the Proactive. Itchy, splotchy. Then I woke up and was super swollen, my eyelids were the worst, and i was super blotchy and itchy. I wasn't sure if it was the Proactive, or something else. I am a product junky....
Anyway, I finally determined it was the proactive. It was awful. I have stopped using it and am so sad - breakouts, not bad, but are back. And like you, I am a picker. UGH!
I was wondering if the new formula for proactive did it, or I just became allergic to it. Did you notice any changes?
love you rblog! I made your fur neck warmer and your leopard scarf with the hole. Very cute!
I don't do anything special but I am consistent with my daily ritual. I do need to bump it up with some more "grown up" facial wash and toners though. Will certainly try out some of your recommendations.
Thanks!
Hmmm...have not tried Aveeno before -reducing redness is always good!
This winter, I include 'save me' by philosophy~ strong stuff! so I use it only every other night only. I will stop when summer arrives! Sort of a maintenance prog for me.
Enjoy your weekend, gorgeous!
ps: thanks for the GIF by the way~
I love Aveeno face wash! My other favorite product is a face lotion from Raw Essentials- it's made with all natural ingredients and makes my face feel so soft.
Thanks for your reply! I left you a longer reply over at my site.
Just wanted to tell you about this little gizmo I bought over Christmas when I was in Seattle. My SIL's SIL does facials and she sells these at her little shop. I have been using it, and really think it has helped with the redness. I *think* it has helped with pore size, and maybe some wrinkles...but it is still too early to say about actual breakouts.
It's kind of a relaxing procedure, I do it twice a day. It uses blue and red light therapy.

I would love to get botox in the forehead, but have a "don't mess with the face" policy. :O) So I just stock up on every product known to woman!
Cheers!
Gorgeous photos! I love Aveeno stuff, it's great for sensitive skin.
hooray, your writings on theater and writing much missed!
you should sell these photos back to the companies as stock photos or something, they totally look profesh!
You have an AWESOME bathroom, omg.
@american girl in italy - i had the same problem! but i stopped using the 3rd product of the line - the lotion - and it went away immediately! i don't know if that'll work for you.. but maybe you should give it a go.
I have been used Proactive (based on your recommendation) for about 2weeks and I love it! I only use the cleanser and toner, the other stuff is harsh!
P.S. Dove Shampoo is awesome and save me $$!
It's always so much fun to see what other skin care products women have in their bathrooms and actually use.
I'm not very good at having an actual routine either. I wash my face everyday... any thing else I do is an achievement.
