Office Project : Inspiration Cork Board Wall
Cork Tiles & Little Gold Framed Mirrors

cork tile wall and gold framed mirrors inspiration board wall

I love a good inspiration board in my office. In fact, I've had some sort of bulletin board with clippings and photos and magazine tears in my room since I was a kid. I love it. I can't really live without one ...dramatic, yes. So it was only obvious I was going to add one to my new office/dressing room.

The silver framed bulletin board that was hanging in my office prior to my office makeover was literally, the same cork board I've had since high school ...no joke, and it's been painted every color under the sun. And it was definitely time to retire it.

One day at my mom's I found a really fabulously framed old photograph from the late 50's and my original idea was to remove the photo and replace it with cork and use that. So I bought the cork tiles to do so. But the other day I realized the large frame was going to be a bit big in the space and decided to just use the tiles alone to create an inspiration cork wall of sorts.

I got my foamy sticky grip tape and scissors out, as you see in the photo below but realized after opening the cork tiles, they already came with little sticky squares. Brilliant. To hang them I used a small level and a measuring tape.

* Pack of 4 6"x6" cork tiles * Pack of 412"x12" cork tiles both found at Staples

You are so creative!! I can't wait to do a wall like this when we move to our new place! When I was younger I was always tearing pictures & cute quotes out of magazines & piecing them together to make collages now I have to focus on school & work lol :(

I'm thinking of turning an extra room into an office.......I'm going to call Staples to find out whether they have cork tiles in stock! Great idea!

Our office was also a guestroom, now it's cluttered with wedding supplies and DIY tools and clothes that needs to get listed on craigslist haha. I can't wait till it's tidy again!

I love the organizational board, I hope once the wedding happens, we can get some control back over the room :p

I love this idea! it's so chic.

@lia I once hung my jewelry from cork boards too but it was soooo heavy it kept falling so I was forced to do something a little more sturdy but I loved the look of it while it lasted!

You've made it look so great and stylish, but I think in my house it would just look a mess!
