* Easy A ...easily my new favorite movie *

Screen shot 2011-06-26 at 12.47.02 PM

While I refuse to wear a friendship bracelet because I'm 35 and am taking a stand against reliving my childhood fashion statements, I have absolutely no problem at all falling ridiculously hard for Easy A, yet another movie about the trials and traumas of being a teenager in high school. With a touch of an homage to John Hughes & 80's teen angst movies, Easy A is written so brilliantly with perfect comedic timing and a spectacular dichotomy between the "adults" and the "kids" you can't help wishing you were right there going through all of it with them.

The cast is near impeccable. Emma Stone kills it. Penn Badgley as "Woodchuck Todd" fake gnawing on wood at a pep rally {scene below} wins as my favorite laugh out loud moment. Dan Byrd's fake sex scene portrayal is hands down, the funniest ever. Though he won my heart a few years ago playing Travis on Cougar Town so I'm a bit biased. Stanley Tucci & Patricia Clarkson are by far, the coolest parents on the planet. Though I'm at an age now that they're the parents I wish my husband and I would become rather than the parents I wish I had.

There's not much more to say without ruining the movie. Needless to say, I loved every minute of it. It's definitely a must-see. But now that I've raved about how great it is I've probably set your expectations of it too high. So never mind, don't see it. It sucked. {but you should totally see it}

Buy Easy A on blu ray here ...or just wait for it to air on cable and DVR it like I did. And NO I don't put it on every night to fall asleep to. Psht, I'm a grown up ;)

Emma Stone was enough reason to see it. The movie itself was just icing on the cake. I am a HUGE fan of Emma Stone. The girl is gorgeous, funny but yet has that geeky vibe to her even when she is playing the "popular girl" (Super Bad as one of the main guys crush)I have seen Easy A about 20 times. And I am one of those people who can see one movie 5 times a day and STILL not be sick of it! I could watch that I got a pocket full of sunshine bit over and over again.

She is great and I am lucky enough to have worked and partied with her and her bf. She is and will only become more and more the Hollywood IT girl because she's actually a wicked personality and talent! Great movie, and hopefully she keeps getting great scripts!

I LOVE this movies! Emma Stone is so awesome I've loved all of her movies to date. And yes, my friend and I after we saw this were on a mission to have Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson adopt us!

I really liked Emma Stone in this movie! Girl crush!
I am biased and like the parents just because their son is adopted - the dialogue around that is hilarious and reminds me of my family =)
I was a little disappointed in the movie - my hopes had been ridiculously high - but it's a great watch!!

I love this movie so much. I got it on netflix and watched it twice in as many days. And was thrilled when it showed up on instant. I try and imitate the gnawing on wood scene but I can't. I crack up. And me and my roommate say "Oh my God. Who told you?!" and "Now Bitch" all the time.

Girrrrl, the Hubs and I caught this a few weeks ago and laughed our asses off. HEEE-larious. I have a huge crush on Stanley Tucci, and his role in this just put it over the top. But then, I also have a wee crush on Dan Byrd. And now Penn whatshisface. And Emma Stone. ESPECIALLY Emma Stone.

merci!
