What I'm Wearing
* Paillette mini skirt ...from Victoria's Secret ...it was on sale for $20, I HAD to buy it {runs a bit big though ...I got a size 6 and maybe could have gotten a 4 ...but it's comfy} - also in the photo onsite, it looks stretchy, it's not, it zips up the back
* Vintage/thrifted oversized denim shirt over a plain white v-neck
* Gold gladiator sandals ...these are a few years old now {like I had them before I started this blog - old} I originally got them at Alloy.com
* Vintage 70's gold necklace with blue stones was a b-day gift from Alison Purple
* Mix of vintage and new bangles and gold hoops a recent GILT buy ~ Kenneth Jay Lane
* Hat was a b-day gift from the bro & sil
* Sunglasses, I have no idea, they may be vintage
* Cynthia Rowley "constance" bag
* Title: lyrics from Sting - "Englishman In New York" ...the tones in this song mesmerize me from the first note. It's very relaxing.
Today is my very last day of vacation away from the art gallery ...and besides missing drollgirl as I anticipated, I haven't missed the traffic at all. However, and I think this happened last year too, but even though I whine & complain every morning I have to wake up early, I kind of like the fact that it forces me to get dressed and get out of the house. It forces some sort of structure in my life whereas I prefer to do things in my own time. But mostly, it gives me reason to wear all of my clothes! And that, I enjoy ;) have you noticed I've only done 2 outfit posts besides this one in the last 2 weeks and one was in my pajamas?!
So maybe instead of leaving the art world for good, I can somehow convince the boss that he only needs me 2 days a week ...I wonder if he'll go for that?

I can't get over how fantastically that skirt photographs. It looks surreal. I think I kinda need it now. I love taking something fancy and dressy like that, and dressing it down as you did. Such a great look!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Sorry but that skirt is WAY too short.....maybe if you were 18 years old...and i'm only 30 and I would never wear it!
First of all I am not sure who is this last person who left you a comment as "Anonymous" is...LOL, and I don't mean to start anything but I don’t think you have a clue of what you are talking about. I have been following Meagan's blog for two years now and I haven't seen her wearing anything inappropriate, it is always the complete opposite. Her outfits are perfect and they are very inspiring and easy to recreate! She looks beautiful in this post and in all the ones she have post!
Anyway Maegan, I think you gave me an idea for my Friday evening meeting with the girls. This will be perfect when I meet my girls for some drinks after work :)
Hi! I am a new follower!

Anon, I'm sorry you feel so strongly about my skirt length. :)

well thanks Anon, that made it so much better.
I LOVE that Maegan just called out ANON! Notice how NO one else that commented is anonymous. It is rude and petty!

Loving this look but not quite sure how to throw it all together? Go create your virtual closet at Fashion-ade.com! You will love how easy it is to put together the perfect outfit with the click of a button!
Its not about being anonymous, what diff does that make?? Everyone is entitled to their opinion! If you dont like it then maybe you shouldn't have a blog where you obviously think you look bloody perfect!!! Cant handle the truth perhaps?!
That skirt completes my life! And it never fails... you always make me want to go back blonde!
I have a little sequined skirt and had no idea what to do with it...this is great. I wonder if I'm too old?!
I think this might be one of my favorite outfits ever! LOVE the skirt!
