What I'm Wearing
* Gray burnout trapeze tank from an inexpensive little boutique in The Valley called Voila! Wearing a neon pink bra under ;)
* Victoria's Secret "sexy jeans" ...but I bought them a size big & cuffed them up a'la boyfriend jeans. ...seen here
* Brown velvet & Gold & Brass Chain Zipper bracelet by Jurate Courtesy of Spoil Me Fashion which has amazingly cute stuff! {and I'm in love with this bracelet that I think can also be worn as a choker!}
* My brown Abarca sandals from Spain again ...which have quickly become my go-to Summer shoe.
* Chloe gray and gold Belladone Sunglasses
* Louis Vuitton damier azur noe bag
* Title: lyrics from Mike & The Mechanics - All I Need Is A Miracle
Just a casual outfit I threw on to grab an early Sushi dinner with the husband over the weekend. Or maybe it was Friday? It's a bit of a blur now because I was home Friday instead of at the art gallery. Home because we closed early for "Carmageddon" {which was actually a total joke but since everyone in LA stayed in this weekend, the streets were clear as a holi-day. It was amazing. I say LA does "Carmageddon" every weekend ;} ...but home also because I have finally finally made the decision to start my slow departure from the gallery. I've cut back from 3 days to 2 and am hoping to say goodbye for good by the end of the year.
It's a really exciting decision actually, one I've been putting off for months now, one that I thought would be quite easy considering my road rage when getting to said gallery, and as I've mentioned before, is a bit more emotional than I had anticipated. Even though my little blogging business is 100% successful and I've secured new positions with the wonderful BlogHer family, as well as other partnerships blah blah blah, etc., etc., etc., it's a BIG change from the security of the art gallery which I've worked at for almost eleven years now.
But what is life without risk? What is life without change? And change is always good. And I'm ready for new adventures and new possibilities that maybe I've been afraid to embrace for the past few years. I mean, this was the goal when I started blogging, but now that I'm here {4+ years later} it's a little scarier than I thought. But I'm totally ready :)
* And Thanks to all of YOU, my lovely readers, for your support and virtual friendships from the beginning and throughout. I couldn't have done it without you ;) ...and looking forward to meeting you at BlogHer 11 in a few weeks! {my first blog conference, eeeek!}

I think it's good that you're moving away from the gallery since you've got so many exciting things going on!
It's so cool that you made a business out of blogging :) SO proud of you :) And I see how leaving a place of work of 11 years can be a little bit sad but I'm sure that much better things are coming your way! You are amazing Maegan, and I'm know that whatever you do will turn out to be extremely successful :)
p.s. I said it before and saying it again- LOVE your flats; they are the coolest ever :)

Totally Inspirational! I love that you had in mind when you started out where you wanted your blog to take you, because Look! Here you are!
I have a few ideas in mind as well, and maybe in a few years when {my ideas + my dreams + time & work put it + a little luck} all collide, and when those ideas of mine are all seasoned and settled, I'll meet you at a BlogHer conference... ...maybe... FUN!!
Can't wait to read about your first blog conference!
Have a great Monday!
So excited for this new journey!! I have been reading for a few years and it's fun for me to see you in this new position- all popular and stuff ;)
I'm really not used to seeing you look so sloppy... Bring back the pretty dresses and jackets please..
Wow, Maegan! Congrats on taking the decision of starting to leave the gallery. It must be scary after 11 years but it is all for the best.
It's really great that you had that in mind when you started the blog, it is very inspirational!
Congrats!
Wow, so you can make a living out of your blog now? Lucky you! And congrats!!!
Excellent song...and I like the casual pieces you put together here. Especially the flowy top!

I wish you the best with your blogging business, I am sure you will do wonderful. Changes are sometimes scary, but oftentimes they bring a lot of good things into our life.
On your outfit, I love love love relaxed casual outfits/looks, those are the looks I feel more comfortable in, they make me feel so free, and that is just how you look, comfortable and free. Those sandals are so cute, they look really good on you :)
I think you are making a great decision. It's time for your to do what you want and just go for it!!
I agree, I wish there was Carmageddon each week. I decided to head out to Huntington beach since I'm close by. :)

Leaving the security of a regular paycheck is definitely scary (something I'm doing in a few weeks, eeek!), but I have faith that the universe had fab things in store for us entrepreneurial gals ;)

OMG loving the bracelet, any chance you can DIY that?? I am going to try it!
My daughter has made a living of her blog for the last ten years also and has been asked to write a book on how she was able to maintain number on status.
I think its a combination of talent, looks, writing, photography and knowing how to engage people.
Will you stay in the fashion world of blogging?
love love the tank!!
cute tank top and bracelets!

Loving the Abarca sandals! I use to have 2 pairs, have no clue where they went, but now that I've seen them on here, I'm going to ask my friend from Spain to send me a pair.
I also love the look, nothing like being comfortable and chic. Have a great week!
YES! I thought the same thing about wearing the Jurate bracelet as a choker. I am so in love with this piece!

This outfit is right at my speed! Casual but elegant - you have amazing taste!
Wait what? Why is that shirt SO flattering on you? It looks like it should make a frump out of anyone who wears it yet you come out looking so chic and casual. It's like a world wonder maybe? All I know is now I want it!
I love your sense of fashion. It is not overly done, yet you show some sense of feminity and delicate touch
This can be awesome. So we stare upon every substance and we are impressed. Please keep updating.
