Poolside: My Go-to Waterfront Outfit

wear to the pool

If you caught a glimpse of me out by the pool in San Diego at BlogHer'11, you may have already seen this outfit... and I wore it again over the weekend in Santa Monica with the husband. It's an easy and {what I think} adorable poolside or beachfront ensemble that I just throw on for such an occasion.

Here's why: I LOVE this silk tunic but it's REALLY short... too short to wear as a dress {unless you're 20} but works as a bikini cover up swimmingly {you like that pun? ;} I think I got it on GILT and it's by Tucker. My favorite summer slip on Abarcas again, Kooba "Jonnie" bag for toting all my magazines, Tom Ford cat eyes and a straw fedora. Easy. Cute. Done. Great for poolside drinks at the bar at dusk after as well.

Hello sand. Hello sea.

Bye bye beach.

palm trees and the ocean at dusk

* at dusk... definitely missing the ocean breezes right about now

I have to say – I was pretty impressed! Can this man do no wrong?! Not only did he pretty much single-handedly turn Gucci from a failing business into a multi-billion dollar making fashion house, and then go on to head his own hugely successful brand; but now he directs films pretty well too! 'A Single Man' has a touching story which is delicately approached leaving you both intrigued and.
