The One You Warned Me All About

Jeans+black sweater + wedges+brass jewelry

What I'm Wearing
* Sweater found in husband's closet... also seen here with insane back lace up tights
* Paige Premium jeans... my most comfy jeans ever
* Vintage brass bangles mixed with new gold bangles
* Necklace and Earrings both Jewelmint which I am loving, & courtesy of Jewelmint Sign up for JewelMint & use code BOCT50 to get 50% off your first purchase! CLICK HERE
* Tom Ford cat eyes
* Carlos Santana wedges... also seen here, seen a lot lately actually. I was surprised by how much I liked these {very inexpensive} shoes ;) and wear them often.
* Jigsaw London black woven leather bag... courtesy of Jigsaw London and on sale now! {seen here as well, in one of my favorite looks as of late, which also happens to be really comfy!}

* Hair: waved, messy, still haven't gotten it done... going this week.

* Title: lyrics from Madonna - Papa Don't Preach

A kind of dressed up jeans and a sweater look here. Honestly, I was pmsing, tired and just wanted to wear something loose and comfortable so I threw on my favorite loose jeans and an old sweater the husband doesn't wear anymore. Obviously it was a bit too casual for work so I tossed on some accessories to dress it up a bit and ran out the door. And I was comfy, all. day. long. Mission accomplished.

I was so excited Friday afternoon when I returned home to our new bar cabinet, and reason to finish decorating the dining room, until I checked my email and realized I missed a great opportunity with the Today Show {a week-long DIY segment} because I had to be at the gallery all day. And I'm not going to lie, I was really upset about it. While it was a really last minute request, I replied early in the morning stating my interest but that I'd be out all day and would send the required few lines of text by the end of the day. But it was too late. And I kicked myself for staying in my past life while my present life was calling. Just thinking about it again frustrates me on like 5 different levels *sigh* but my absence opened a spot for another DIY blogger to shine and that makes me happy.

* UPDATE: Apparently, they did include my lace halter bustier DIY! Crazy... the email response I got was that I missed the time cut off. Go figure! Here's the DIY Today Feature. I'm in the photo slideshow at the bottom among other fab DIY bloggers.

* I'm choosing a winner tomorrow for a $40 Target giftcard & fun craft supplies so follow this link to leave a comment if you haven't yet.

Dude, I am so sorry you missed the opportunity for a segment on the Today show. It's their loss, but still, how frustrating. Have a great week anyway!

not many bloggers say that they're "pmsing"...um, I love that you did. I certainly would (and have!). Sometimes the sweats are just necessary. As for the missed op, given your talents and reach, another opportunity is likely brewing around the corner. Bummer, for sure, but sounds like you have other amazing things up your sleeve. Did you happen to reveal your top secret project yet, btw? Not sure if I missed it!

Ahhh such a comfy yet fierce look! I'm sorry about the Today Show thing. :( But you have such a great attitude about it, which is why we all love you! And I think I need a slouchy sweater like that, for my 'comfy' days :)

I'm sorry to hear about the missed opportunity... that's the hardest part about transitionary periods, isn't it? Way to focus on the positive though!
