Animal Magnetism

Burberry Trench - animal print shoes

What I'm Wearing
* Burberry Trench Coat {the shorter one}
* I layered a black sheer blouse with a tie over this blouse for a fun and billowy affect.
* J Brand/Duarte "Suffragette" cropped lace up jeans in "dusk" seen here and here
* Ann Taylor animal print shoes kinda have that grandpa slipper feel with a heel. These are rather comfy though the angle of the heel is a little strange for me so they took a minute to get used to walking in. They're lower than they appear. And Ann Taylor is having 40% off everything right now, just fyi.
* Kenneth Jay Lane animal pendant necklace was a gift from my friend Alison Purple
* Gucci large cat eye sunglasses
* Twisted crystal hoop earrings from t+j designs
* Woven leather bag from Jigsaw London.

My eyes are completely fuzzy and playing tricks on me. My computer seems foreign. I haven't been out of bed for more than 5 minutes since Thursday... missed my cousin's wedding on Saturday and cried all night long about what a horrible best friend I am. These photos were actually taken a few days before I got sick so I don't wanna see any comments about how great I look when I'm sick... because I don't. I look like death right now, and I have since last Wednesday. My husband has been a saint... and a domestic God. He has taken care of me, the dogs, the house, the cat, and himself swimmingly. And if we had a kid, he would have taken care of him or her too with just as much spirit. I don't know what I'd do without him. He was unbelievably patient when Zombie Maegan would randomly creep out into the living room from her quarantined bedroom, greasy hair and sweaty clothes, sobbing, claiming she was dying because her skin hurt so badly. He brought me soup and juice and tea and medicine without even asking. He drove to West LA to pick up my cousin's flowers for her wedding on Saturday morning and drove them up to West Hills where I was supposed to be getting ready with the bridal party {complete opposite ends of LA}. He explained to the family that I was on my death bead then returned home to take care of me while I sobbed about not being able to go to the wedding. He's my hero. My SuperHero and I would be a lost soul without him.

All things happen for a reason though... There is a blessing in everything :)

It's easy to see that your hubby is a blessing for sure! You give me hope that one day I will find such a treasure for myself...

Get well soon :) Thank you for being so committed to this blog and posting despite being under the weather

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry you've been feeling so bad. Your husband sounds amazing, and I'm sure your cousin understood how badly you wanted to be there for her. Please feel better soon!

(Side note that is not as supportive, but I just thought you should know: I love those jeans and have spent the last 20 minutes looking for how I can buy them for myself :D)

Seriously though, feel better!

Hi Maegan

I know what your going through,I was the Maid of Honour for my sister-in-law, came down with an awful cold and missed the wedding rehearsal and dinner, drove 2 hours to make the wedding and unfortunatly the bride was not very understanding and we have not really spoken since.I am sure your cousin who from all your past posts clearly adores you understands and appreciates everything you did in preparation for her wedding and eventually you will feel better about missing her wedding.

Regards
Nancy
