I loved my midnight + gold glitter nails so much I thought I'd try the same idea on a lighter shade. The result is so subtle, and so elegant, and a major challenge to photograph! They trick my lens as they do the eyes but make you want to keep looking at them just to figure out what's going on. This was the manicure I was going to do for my cousin's wedding. Knowing I'd be holding a bouquet, I wanted something fancy but very understated and the single stripe of chunky glitter over nude is perfection. If you're opposed to dark nails, this is a nice alternative for the holidays.

* I used 3 coats of Sally Hansen Cafe Au Lait. I love this nude, and Sally polishes dry really fast. You may remember it from my nude nails with {Martha Stewart} glitter tips.
* Carefully create a stripe on the outer side of each nail using Only Gold For Me by Sephora. {note: this stuff is a nightmare to get off, but so worth it.}
* And of course, a top coat of Chanel extreme brilliance for extra shine!

Have you seen the YouTube video on removing glitter polish? I did a post on it last month: http://fashionsmaven.blogspot.com/2011/10/nail-polish-tip.html
It looks crazy but actually works - much better than scrubbing at your nails to get the glitter off!

Before I even read your captions, I thought, "That Sephora glitter polish is a bitch!" So super gorgeous, but wouldn't come off my nails for WEEKS. I must admit, the rose gold is to die for. Ok, you convinced me! <3

You always have the best nails. Love this!!
Love the manicure! And a tip for the glitter nail polish: use pure acetone (I found mine at Sally's Beauty Supply for like $4) instead of regular nail polish remover. It works really well :)
i love this! can't wait to try it out :D
