When it's Love it'll last Forever

jeans and a blazer

What I'm Wearing
* Vintage plaid blazer, thrifted
* Hudson jeans - Nico Midrise Super Skinny Purple Coated Jeans {though they look more purple on the site than they do in reality. They're much more subtle} and I actually LOVE these. They are my first pair of Hudson jeans {courtesy of Hudson jeans} and are fantastically comfortable with no muffin top action to speak of. I also ordered a size smaller than I normally wear {a 28 instead of a 29} and they fit perfectly. So I suggest sizing down one!
* Beatles tank by Junk Food... I LOVE the fit of these tanks.
* Black snake cuff by Jigsaw London & on sale for $25 now!
* Woven leather black bag also by Jigsaw London - and looks to be sold out... though they have a bunch of new ones I'm in love with.
* Jean Michel Cazabat black suede pumps from a GILT sale
* Tom Ford cat eye sunglasses
* Ben Amun earrings and brooch I made from a rhinestone necklace

* Hair: snaky french braid... HAIR TUTORIAL HERE

* Title: lyrics from Van Halen - When It's Love

I am so so SO happy to feel alive again... it's strange how being sick can really give you perspective on what's important: Health. Period. And I am jumping for joy that I have mine again. Though being sick and on the chicken soup diet for 5 days straight did subtract a few lbs from my frame that I can't say I'm too upset about really.

We're going to get our Christmas tree this evening and I couldn't be more excited. I'm Christmas Crafting like crazy and am excited to share it all with you. I thought you guys would be excited to link up your crafts but not too many of you were on board so unless it increases today, I probably won't include the link up for the remainder of the month. In other news: I can't believe it's the end of the year already. I'm sure I say this every year and I'm not alone but wow, time flies.

Gurrrrl, you KNOW a Van Halen quote is going to prompt me to comment. Well, that and that kickass ensemble. One of my favey faves. I LOVE a plaid jacket (espesh if it's vintage/thrifted). There's just something so Sid Viscious Anarchy in the UK about it. And the bag? DYING for it. I have been wanting a black bag, and love the basket weave that makes that one more than just a plain ole black bag. Which I originally typed as blag - I think that's an appropriate term for the way most of them look - BLAG. Okay, now I'm rambling. Must. Get. More. Coffeeeeee....

P.S.
Team Van Halen or Van Hagar? Van Halen all the way, bay-bee. Loves me a lil Diamond Dave.

I'm putting up another ornament DIY today, and each day this week, I hope you keep the link party up; it's really increasing my traffic! Plus, I cannot wait to see what else you create :)

There's something deliciously 1980s about this outfit-- the skinny jeans, plaid blazer, and super pumps. Love it.

Your hair/that braid is fabulous! I can't even do a regular french braid so I doubt I'd be able to figure this one out. LOL

Hi Maegan

I love this outfit. Have you ever heard of a show from the 70's called McMillan and Wife? I was watching it last evening and Sally (the wife) was wearing a blazer similar to yours and it looked terrific. In fact I really watch this show because I love everything Susan St. James wears and their house is also incredibly chic.

Have a lovely day.
Regards
Nancy

Love that plaid jacket! (And the longer length, too! Not so crazy about the very short jackets now-a-days!) Your jacket is one that will never be out-of-style. Now, I'll have to go plaid jacket thrift shopping! Glad you are feeling better. Stay well and have a wonderful week, Sunshine!

I absolutely loved "Mc Millan and Wife"...Thanks for reminding me! They really should offer it on some of the retro stations in my area. I'll look for it today. What a coincidence regarding the plaid jackets!

I would LOVE to be crafty with you this month, but I'm not too awesome at the link ups... I love making instead of buying for family and friends, it seems so much more personal to me! Glad you are feeling better, and I adore your hudson jeans! Too cute!

Ok. First I freaked out cause I loved the pants.

Then I freaked out because I loved the hair.

Then I MAJOR freaked out when I saw The Beatles tank!!!

My husband and I LOVE The Beatles. Like a lot.
Like so much that all the music in our wedding was acoustic guitar versions of their songs. So much that I walked down the aisle to "here comes the sun" :)
Just got our pictures back too! AHH!!

haha. so yeah. I like your outfit. a lot ;)
