Cherish the Joy you Bring to my Life

vintage military coat - tights and boots

What I'm Wearing
* Red Roses dress by Motel Rocks {courtesy of Motel Rocks}... and I love it. {they're having a 20% off sale right now, fyi}
* Black tights by American Apparel
* Basic black turtleneck
* Dolce Vita knee high leather boots last seen here in 2009
* Vintage military coat
* Gold snake necklace... I got this about 7 years ago and cannot remember where or who it's by, which is unusual for me, yes. Maybe ebay?
* Vintage sunglasses
* Jigsaw london bag

* My hair may look like a faux bob but it's just tucked into my turtleneck. Which, I suppose, is another form of a faux bob.

* Title: lyrics by Madonna - Cherish

Had a bit of a blah weekend. Was supposed to do fun stuff but didn't. Worked on book deadlines with some success but not enough. A certain thing was supposed to go one way but it went the other. Maybe had a bit of "Murphy's Law" working against me but I'm kind of happy the weekend's over, to be honest... and surprisingly. But the husband did try to cheer my up with these gorgeous blue orchids, which did help a little. He always knows how to make me smile.

I love this outfit though... even though it's yet another red party/holiday dress, it's way more casual.

* If you haven't checked out the Look on Today Blogger's Holiday Wish List, you most definitely should! I am excited to be in such amazing blogging company!

Gorgeous! I love that dress and the way you chose to style it with the turtleneck and tights. Also, a really nice classic coat.

Sorry your week-end was blah. Nice about the orchids though.

The dress is so gorgeous, and I love how you've tempered it by layering it over a turtleneck and tights with boots. And that necklace is to die for!

From that time onward, the ideal of a marriage 'based on love' became more and more popular. However, it was not until the emergence of the women's movement, that the traditional way of choosing one's spouse based on criteria such as wealth or their respective social positions were first widely overcome. Thanks.
