It Actually Worked! Hurray Olay!

Olay hair removal duo

As the years pass, or rather the older I get, the more facial hair I seem to have, and I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit. At least my hair is blonde though and only really is visible in the sunlight {though my husband loves to point it out to me when he notices it} but I really feel for brunettes who have to deal with dark facial hair from an early age.

I often tweeze my own little blonde mustache hairs because I hate waxing, and I do it while I’m distracted, like when I’m watching TV, so I don’t feel the pain. But the center hairs hurt so badly, I often don’t get to them, leaving a ridiculous little blonde Hitler stache… which is obviously, no good!

I’ll admit, when I first opened my little box of New Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo, I was skeptical. How could it possible work on my fine white hairs in 6-8 minutes? I looked at the instructions and there were really only 2 steps… easy!

I prepared my skin with the skin guarding balm then applied the hair removal cream as instructed and then waited. After about 6 minutes, I used a cotton pad and gently wiped away my creamy mustache, and rinsed with warm water.

olay hair removal mustache

When I looked in the mirror, inspecting my upper lip, I literally stated aloud “IT WORKED! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT ACTUALLY WORKED”.

I really am not sure why I was so skeptical. Maybe because I’d never tried a product like this before or maybe because it was so easy and gentle on my skin. But regardless, I’m so happy with the outcome! I admired my hairless upper lip for a few minutes longer and thought OMG no more tweezing and plucking and pain!

Hurray Olay!

Glad this worked for you!!! I’m curious–did your skin feel weird (to the touch) afterwards? I tried it and mine did, but I’m curious if I didn’t leave it on long enough (and thus it was tiny shards of hair remnants causing the weird feeling haha)

My inner beauty is a due largely in part to the beautiful, wonderful women who have taught me how to act like a strong, confident woman. My beauty routine is a short routine where I play up my best features with a few basics, and just let the rest of my shine.

My inner beauty is inspired by always remembering that it’s what inside that counts. Taking care of the world, those around you, and yourself, giving back, and letting your inner happiness shine through. As far as reflecting this in my daily beauty routing, eating delicious healthy foods and working out to my favorite music go a long way towards outward beauty :) The makeup, hair, and fashion are just the icing on the cake.

My inner beauty is largely inspired by the women who gave me my outer beauty: my mother and grandmother. They both taught me to be proud of who I am and to embrace the challenges life gives us. I’m extremely proud of my American Indian heritage (my grandmother was born on a reservation and fled with her family to California in the 1940s), and so my beauty routine revolves around accentuating my asian-esque eyes.

Oh! My grandmother used to use Oil of Olay on a daily basis and I love the smell because it brings back very vivid memories of her. I have to admit that I wouldn’t have thought to use Olay myself until now because I have those pesky dark facial hairs you speak of…sigh..

As for what inspires my inner beauty, that would be my love of animals and my desire to use only products that haven’t been tested on any wee critters that can’t speak up for themselves. Means I can’t buy the ‘new, improved’ anything anymore but I have found some great cruelty free products online that I would never have known about otherwise!

i tend to not wear makeup during the week (for school), and when i am just doing errands. i do this because i don’t want to feel like i MUST wear makeup to be beautiful! i have slowly but surely gotten more and more confidant with my own unique traints (what other people would call flaws). i still have my own issues, but i think i’m much stronger than many other people out there.

Thanks for the review though, I might try this product out! I’m always looking to alternatives to waxing or tweezing since those take so long!

So basically I like to put my best face forward. I typically go to the threader to get my eyebrows and upper lip (ouch!) threaded, and I always make sure to moisturize moisturize moisturize! I definitely want to try this hair remover kit… getting your upper lip threaded is in one word… HORRIBLE. Thanks for the heads up!

My wonderful boyfriend of 5 years and my mom inspire my inner beauty. I can’t ever remember my mom talking poorly about someone else and always telling me how beautiful I am and that material possessions and makeup don’t make you beautiful. It is the way you treat other people and the respect you show to yourself that makes you beautiful. My beauty routine reflects this because I try to not let makeup affect the way I feel about myself and my appearance. I also try to compliment people (especially women) as much as possible because every women needs a reminder once in awhile. And what is better than a compliment from a stranger?

As to my inner beauty…I started exercising on a regular basis back in August 2011 and I’ve never felt so good about myself! I’ve actually stuck with it! Yes, I’ve lost over 20 pounds but it’s more than that. I’ve also quit drinking AND smoking during these past months as well. I’m really enjoying being able to walk up stairs without getting winded…and remembering the night before rather than it being a very vague vodka-covered “what the heck did I do!” kinda thing! LOL

Anywho, exercise is now my “drug” of choice!

I express my inner beauty with my hair! My hair style can usually tell you what kind of day I’m having or how I’m feeling inside. A big fun up-do is a fierce day. A low simple bun is a demure day. And my hair down and wild is a crazy-out-of-my-way day!

My mom inspires my inner beauty, because she taught me confidence and self-love. My make-up routine reflects that because I prefer to keep my makeup minimal and as natural looking as possible.

I’m glad it worked for you.

What inspires my inner beauty is my faith in God and love for Him and my family.
They keep me joyous every day.

I believe beauty radiates from within and reflects in everything you do. That’s why I start on the inside and work my way out! :)

My grandmother taught me about my inner beauty. She always would tell me its not what is on the outside but what is on the inside. Even though she is gone, I carry that with me every day and that inspires me to keep it simple.

I have always worked in social services and in jobs where I give and give and give all day long. It really became draining but then I realized that when I invested some time in me, then I was able to recharge to continue giving to others. By making sure I always feel my best, I can project that onto the world.

What inspires my inner beauty is my hubby & little girl. They let me know that I don’t have to wear makeup to be pretty. They love me for who I am even if I wake up with drool on my face & eyebrows growing out of my eyeballs lol jk! They do tease me about my mustache though, which gets embarassing when we’re out somewhere! I like using Olay moisturizer, sunscreen, Fake Bake tan spray (instead of tanning bed), eat lots of fruits/veggies, & drink lots of water. Leaves my skin with a natural glow that I like to add a little mascara & lip gloss too! I love wearing a cute belt with my shirts, makes any shirt look great! This gives me the confidence that I’m very comfortable with, especially being a busy mommy/wife! That’s why I’m glad I have great supporters behind me, afterall their opinions are the only ones that matter to me! This is my inner beauty inspired by my world!

Laughter inspires my inner beauty. I am most beautiful when i’m laughing or making other’s laugh. For that reason, i tend to get “liney” around the eyes and mouth. I try to keep very moisturized. My latest fave is Philosophies – Hope in a Jar and i like it so much i started using the Hope in a Jar eye cream. It smells good and clean and soaks in just enough to let me put makeup over it without breaking me out, greasing me up or making my pores open up to mini canyons in my t-zone. Hooray for happiness and hooray for Hope in a Jar.

So, a few months after your experiment, how does it look? Did it grow back out the same or did it grow back in darker and more “stubble-like”?
