Twofer Tuesday : Lips & Toes

I couldn't resist a certain end of season sale and found a pair of Miu Miu peep toe knotted ankle boots in my size for an extra $125 off the sale price. They're surprisingly comfortable and with a hint of 40's flair, I'll wear them now and into the next chilly seasons.

fresh sugar lip therapy

I have this thing about dry lips and have to have something on them at all times or else I lick them until they're cherry red, which is not a cute look. While at Sephora a few weeks ago, I picked up this Sugar lip treatment by Fresh and went wild for the tropical lemony scent. Still contemplating spending $25 on a lip balm, the salesgirl told me that not only does it hydrate and nourish, it SMOOTHS WRINKLES AROUND THE DELICATE LIP AREA. And anything that may help repair the possible damage I've done to my lips and/or the area around my lips from stupidly sucking on cigarettes for over 10 years, I will most definitely try.

Two weeks later and I'm completely addicted to it. I must apply it 10-20 times a day, which is a nice little departure from the blistex lip medex I've been using since I was 17. Do you ever wonder if using the same product for too long is carcinogenic? Or am I the only hypochondriac here?

Love those boots and will have to try the lip balm. Anything to help lip wrinkles! I pucker when I sleep, my mom said I've done it ever since I was a baby. Maybe it was cute then but now I'm showing the aging effects of puckering!yuck!!

I'm a hypochondriac too & have thought the exact same thing about beauty products. Almost every night since I was 17 (I am 28 now!), I have put benzoyl peroxide cream on my face to target the pesky pimples that pop up (no pun intended). I worry becasue I don't know much about the long-term effects of repeated product use. How long-term are lab or volunteer studies? This concern has gotten much worse in the last 6 months for some reason...

Those booties are great! I love the curve of that heel. I've been thinking about trying Fresh but as well...but that price tag seems high for lip balm.

Great purchase! I personally loved these version way better than the sparkly ones, those are way too flashy, this on the other hand are perfect and versatile!

Any results on the lines around your lips? (Although I admit I have never noticed any on you). I have a few despite never having smoked cigs, but am older than you and spent a few teen years with a doobie nearby.

Those shoes are to die for! I wish I was good at wearing/walking in heels or just nice shoes in general.

How is the balm working on the lines? I looooove Labello from Germany, but to get it from a nearby apothecary in Chicago, it's more to ship than it costs for the tube, but it was the only thing that made my lips smooth and soft.

have you noticed a change in your lips since using the chapstick? i'm curious about it, but can't justify the 25 if it's not effective!

Those shoes are awesome! I would kill myself with the heels though - I'm quite the klutz.
I think that Sugar Lip treatment is part of Sephora's birthday gift this year. Now to wait until October to get it. Whomp

I've been searching for a good lip treatment for ages now. I've used softlips, burt's bees, yes to carrots, and eos. Nothing seems to work, and all of the products feel like they dry out my lips rather than moisturize them!! I might try the sugar one now :) But it's so pricey... Thanks for the review!

I use Blistex DCT, and I've that heard people say (haven't' checked the validity, so don't know how true it is) that Blistex actually puts something in their lip balms and lip treatments that make them addictive, so you continue buying their products. If it's true, maybe that's the case with the one from Fresh too?
