What I'm Wearing
* Black and white striped sweater courtesy of Jigsaw London... and I am in love.
* Vintage denim Wrangler button down from fabulous Etsy shop 86 Vinta... seen here with a jersey maxi dress
* Shocking pink coated J Brand jeans ... seen once here
* Green flower pin is old... I can't remember where it's from. Maybe GAP?
* Gerard Yosca turquoise earrings from a GILT sale. seen here
* Vintage sunglasses {itching for some new sunglasses actually}
* Jean Michel-Cazabat buckle boots
* Salvatore Ferragamo bag... though the hobo style bag has been absent lately from fashion, it went so well with the boots I thought I'd dust it off especially for this outfit.
* Title: lyrics from Madonna - La Isla Bonita
Sigh... I'm swamped lately. I know I shouldn't complain but I can't wait to just have some free time to lounge around with the husband and watch movies and maybe even leave the house more than just to grab coffee & pick up necessities. For some reason I have May in mind as the golden month where I'll finally have some time off. I'm in the process of shooting models {and friends who are willing to model for me} for my book. It's still a year away from being bound and published but I'm in the thick of it at the moment. The thing about blogging is, it's a very short-term {and daily} accomplishment -- meaning, I know how long a post will take, how long a DIY will take, how long a photo shoot will take, time spent editing photos, etc., and by the end of each and every day {just after midnight most days} I have a finished product. I hit publish and then I go to bed thinking about what I'll do for the following day. A book, on the other hand, is a seemingly endless project. I write and I write and I write and I'm still not finished. I don't really see a light at the end of the tunnel just yet but I still trudge toward it. Again, I'm not complaining, not for one second... I guess I'm just really looking hard for that light right now and not seeing so much as a flicker.

TOTALLY stealing this look. Love it. Those pants with those boots with those stripes with the chambray are sick and wrong.
Happy leap day, mamacita!

I love the layering of the chambray shirt with the striped sweater! I honestly want to run home and change into something like that! Thanks for the inspiration!

Chambray is a bit more light normally. Maegan listed this correctly as denim I think.
love that look!!! i pinned it!! :)
You know that feeling of accomplishment you have at the end of every day? Before you know it you'll be able to multiple that feeling by 365 and you will be soaring on cloud nine! It will be awesome!
i've been following you for such a long time, and your blog and outfits just keep getting better! :) you're amazing
I would love it if you got a minute to check out my blog :) inwithdnew.blogspot.com
Layering a sweater over a jean shirt is genius (or jean-ius for a lame pun haha)! Love it.

Oh Maegan...I'm so glad I'm not alone! I've been writing a book & always put it on the back burner for the "Quick Gratification" of Blogging. Then I end up feeling unfulfilled & discouraged with myself for not sticking to planned time frames/boundaries for my book. Thanks for this post! I need to get back on track. AND your outifit is awesome!! Lovin those pants.

Oh how I love bright jeans! Can't wait to get my hands on a pair.
Hang in there with the writing. It can be hard to stay focused and motivated with long-term projects, but that little flicker of light will show up on the horizon before you even know it! :)
xoxo J
Love all of your colorful outfits lately! You can't lose with those jeans, IMO. And I'm sure it's a lot of work but it will pay off - yours is one book I will definitely go buy!
Such a pretty outfit! I love it! XOXO, www.NatalyasCloset.com
Hang on in there with the writing. I'm sure that flicker can't be too far away! Oh and amazing outfit! Love the stripes with the denim and am currently obsessed with coloured jeans :-)
