Pink Hearts Valentine's Day Manicure

pink heart nails for valentines day

I wanted something festive and fun and feminine for Valentine's Day and even though red is the official Valentine's Day color, it can also look very Christmassy to me. And since Christmas was just a few months ago, I thought I'd go with pinks. I originally planned on doing a pink French manicure but last minute I randomly created these easy little half-hearts which make me smile every time I look down - and kind of remind me of when I was about 13. But regardless, 35 going on 13 just for a few days never hurt anybody, right?

Here's what I used:

* 3 coats of OPI ~ Pinking of You
* A very old watermelon pink Wet 'n' Wild {remains one of my favorite pinks} Essie ~ Watermelon is pretty close.
* Sephora OPI ~ Traffic-Stopper Copper

And here's how I did it:

* You're basically making an X but very close together. Make your second mark a bit shorter than your first to give your hearts some depth.

* I added glitter to the hearts on my ring fingers but all of them glittered up would be fun as well.

Looks beautiful! I've been trying to do hearts for ages but it just won't turn out the way I want. Maybe I should give it another chance?

Great idea! I wish my nails were as pretty as yours though! Mine only seem to look half way decent w/ a french mani. Otherwise they look odd shaped. I don't get it... :)

Sooo cute! I did this with dark red hearts, and on the ring fingers the opposite with light pink hearts over red. But please still post your original French manicure idea. I have yet to find a method that works well for me.
