I am IN LOVE with the Spring 2012 Couture collection from Elie Saab. Dripping iced pastels, florals and beadwork symmetrically embroidered over layers of sheer fabric with a nod to 50's and 60's silhouettes and femininity, with a hint of moxie. It's simply stunning. Even the wedding gown {above}, though almost out of place amongst the other dresses, is a work of art. The entire collection is really just breathtaking. TOTALLY BEAUTIFUL.....and mostly covered-up, too. (Which I love. I'm tired of too many strapless bridal gowns.) For those of us who can sew, a few of these styles wouldn't be altogether impossible to copy, more or less. I'm 50/50 on pastels but I love these dresses... My favorite decades are the 50s/60s hands down, so these silhouettes are just lovely. Love love lovely!
