Whenever I'm asked to review a body wash, my reason for saying yes is purely based on the fact that I am most probably out of or almost out of my current body wash and, being in the middle of finishing writing my book, I'm not leaving the house much these days...most specifically, my home office. In fact, I have to include "shower" on my to-do list as of late or it just may go un-done. No, I'm not proud. But what enticed me most about this product, given my very limited free "me time," was that it claims to have "Over a jar of Olay Moisturizers" in every bottle. If I can moisturize my body WHILE washing it, I AM IN -- not only because I am short on time lately but also because I HATE MOISTURIZING! Ugh, I really hate it. My husband is better at it than I am, meaning he'll happily slather his entire body with lotion upon exiting the shower and I, on the other hand, would rather spray on some olive oil and call it a day...if that.
So I tried it...and first let me just say, it smells fantastic. I was truly surprised by the strong gardenia scent as I squeezed it into my scrubby loofa gloves {a must-have, by the way; I much prefer them to the loofa sponges}. I'm usually a food scent -- mainly vanilla & coconut -- lover, even in my body washes, so the pleasing fragrance was a big plus for me. Another bonus was that it didn't have that slimy feeling like some moisturizing washes do. It made my skin feel clean and smooth. And four washes later, I'm committed. I suppose the true test will be when I run out of it, though. Will I go back to my tried & true vanilla scents? Or will I opt for this more affordable 2-in-1 wash? It's a tough choice. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. {This is a GINORMOUS bottle, so it'll be a while.} But in the meantime, I love that using Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash in the shower leaves my skin feeling great and cuts down on the time I'd spend moisturizing {mostly because I hate it}.
