Now that I'm working from home full time, I rarely put makeup on unless I'm going out {and even then, on occasion, I don't}. However, I've noticed this lack of getting ready in the morning before I go to work -- even if it is just in the other room -- sort of makes me feel like I'm less than professional and might as well wear pajamas all day long. Now, in my fifth month of working from home, I'm finding the need to sort of revamp my work-at-home wardrobe and make getting ready a priority each and every morning.
But a full face of makeup just seems like overkill. So when I was sent Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer to review I thought, why not at least apply this one simple step in the morning after washing my face -- get the benefits of the anti-aging total effects and smooth, radiant, glowing skin?
In my sun-worshipping 20s, I earned some less than pretty pigmentation spots, which even makeup doesn't always cover. But, after my first application of Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer (I use Fair to Light), they were instantly reduced. I mean, it isn't called "tone correcting moisturizer" for nothing, but I guess I was expecting it to go on more sheer, like a lotion. And while it wasn't as thick as a liquid foundation, if not blended well, those unwanted and noticeable makeup smudges randomly appear. But I love it as a daily moisturizer sans any other makeup, and I love that i's got SPF in it so I don't have to add another step.
I decided to try Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer under makeup as well, and this is where it really won me over. I use a mineral power foundation with a moisturizer -- and my recent lotions haven't been cutting it.Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer reduced the appearance of fine lines AND dark spots, evening out my skin tone and giving me the perfect canvas for applying powder foundation over it. And because it's more of a moisturizer than a foundation, it didn't make me feel like I was wearing double the makeup. It's my go-to moisturizer to wear under makeup now.
On top of the visible wonders I see from using Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer, it's supposedly fighting the seven signs of aging while I'm wearing it, including free-radical-defense and gentle exfoliation, which improves surface cell turnover. I LOVE products that are working overtime while I'm reaping the present and future benefits. Seriously, I'm hooked! I honestly can't believe how happy I've been with all the Olay products I've been sent to review. I'm not sure why I'm surprised, but they blow me away every time!

I have always used Olay moisturizers (love the built-in SPF) but my favorite is the old-school pink Olay lotion...the smell reminds me of watching my mom get ready for work and admiring her fancy makeup. I'll have to give Total Effects a try!

I use the Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum under my eyes and i love it! I would love to try this out as well. I have been looking for a non-greasy tinted moisturizer for awhile.

Maegan, this sounds great? But, is it hard to match the tones to your skin? I always seem to have that problem.
i use the olay effects 7-in-1 anti-aging moisturizer and i really like it. it smells really good, it is light, and doesn't break me out. i have a very uneven skin tone and definitely want to give this a try.
I use the CoverGirl & Olay foundation and I love it. It's better than the MAC that I was using before.
I love using Olay complete UV moisturizer.
It protects and moisturizes at the same time.

I haven't tried this one yet, but I do use the little pink original bottle every morning and it keeps my face nice and moisturized all day even under my make up!
Oh Maegan. I can't enter your competition because I live in New Zealand, and I can't even purchase this because they don't sell it down here (and don't have plans to either - I asked them specifically on the Olay Australia/New Zealand Facebook page). Looks fantastic though!

I loved their total effects cleanser, but switched to an organic line. Unfortunately, their eye creams irritate my eyes. But it is good to hear abuout your experiences with these.

I've been using the same bottle of basic face lotion that came with my mineral makeup way too long ago to admit, and was just staring blankly at the moisturizer aisle today not knowing at all what to buy. I did get the new garnier BB cream a couple of weeks ago, hoping that would be my answer, but their lightest shade is still WAY too dark for me. While I'm hesitant to invest in anything tinted after that disaster, I love all the benefits this one has to offer. It may fit the bill as my new under-makeup lotion!

i use an olay shower gel/cream in some kind of "winter vanilla" scent, but with spring here, i've been looking for a springy version of it.
I haven't tried this product yet, but I would love to. I've heard amazing things about Olay products, and it's never to early to start fighting signs of aging!

I find that Olay Regenerist is the right thickness to work on my skin overnight. I also use the Pro-X Olay products, serum and undereye treatment.

I use Olay cleaning clothes on nights when I'm too tired to do the whole bathroom ritual. They take off all my make up but my skin doesn't feel tight or dry. I'd haven't tried this product yet but I may just have to if I can get the same results!

While I've never tried Olay Tonal Effects, I LOVE using regular Olay moisturizer. That being said--something like, that evens me out and provides UV protection under my powder? I'd be absolutely down with adding that to my regime!
i would luv to try this product, olay is a classic been around and seen on my moms counters growning up.
Currently not using any Olay products and neither have I tried the moisturizer. However, I'm almost out of my current facial moisturizer and am seriously considering trying this one. I'm not crazy about the one I have but don't have any complaints either. Plus I'm getting into my late 20's and need some of that tone corrector.

I started using this after your post and I love it too. I'm hoping that it does all the work it says it's doing because I've just started noticing my wrinkles and realizing it will only get worse!
I love how this goes on so light and sinks into your skin so it doesn't feel like you're wearing makeup but the best thing is the subtle glow I get from it. I've had several people tell me I looked "fresh". I sound like a commercial!
