I can spend hours, it seems, on the Hermès website... not at their shopping site per se, but they have this travel the world of Hermès section with tons of pretty little short films, fun doodles, and dreamy imagery that is their mood board of sorts. Once a month or so, I peek around it for a while and get lost in all that is Hermès... and the other day I found this adorable Hermès printable paper clutch DIY and was inspired to do just that.
There are 6 different designs...

The printable download looks like the image above & I've linked to it to make it easier for you. I actually made a few of the designs offered but featured in this post is the Colorful Straws on a white background. You can also choose Birds, Solid White {or print it on colored paper}, Day of the Dead Skeleton, or the adorable Elephant.

I used a thick/matte heavyweight paper, which made the folding a bit more difficult, but the final product much better. I also used strong double stick tape instead of glue for quicker result. The clutch is surprisingly strong, and if done in a plastic coated paper, could actually be usable! This little paper project was really fun & has inspired more fabulous ideas hopefully to materialize in the near future.

Isn't the site amazing? I've been a fan for years now (when they got their new creative group, their online marketing changed for the best) Anyway, I did the awesome Birkin bag from from their printables and I loved it until someone sat on it! hahahaha! I had it as a decoration on my office couch... I may just have to do one of these myself!

...just need to find a way to make one i can actually use!
How about printing this on transfer paper, ironing it onto white denim and then sewing the clutch? It would not be easy, all stitches would have to be hidden because of the painted stitches, and the clutch would need a lining and cardboard interfacing as it has to be stiff, not slouchy. What do you think?
